Anyone think Josh Badeaux should get a few minutes tomorrow night?

He works his butt off at practice, in his role as the "scout team" guard.
He really got into Carmouche's head during the practice right before the Fla game.
It was kinda amusing to watch, because Carmouche got really mad, and CJJ said "What're you guys mad at Josh for? He's supposed to be playing you hard, Florida's gonna play you much harder".

Maybe the kid can be rewarded with a few minutes to disrupt A&M if Hickey and Stringer get tired?

Hickey 5'11 182 v. Turner 6'5 212 could be a HUGE problem.
They start a 6'1" and 5'11" guard, so Hickey and Stringer will likely match up against them.

This may be our best matchup opponent in the SEC, so we probably do have a good chance at a win. I just think that trying to go up tempo against them will be a mistake. And benching ADP or running him off the floor with up tempo will look a lot like Georgia late in the 2nd half, IMO.

Turner should be able to post Hickey pretty well with the height and dramatic weight difference, so help defense (which Andrew Del Piero struggles mightily with) will be critical.

While in the NBA, PG's post up opponents, in college basketball you don't see very many guards dropping down low. I don't think this will be an issue. Hickey has done well this year with all types of opponents. Like someone said earlier, a 6'5" guy has a lot of room to pick a dribble. Could work to Hickeys advantage.

He does shoot threes well, which could be a problem with a smaller guy guarding him, but it is possible that we move Morgan or Hammink onto Turner if he becomes a problem.

I can't wait for this game. I just have a feeling LSU gets off the bench and is hot from the start.

Im a fan of what walk-ons do, but he probably won't be getting minutes tonight. Working hard is practice is great, but he is working those players to make sure they are the best that they can be when they are out there.

Britgirl,

Im interested how you always have the inside info. Obviously you go to practices. Are you a friend of a player or something? Intrigued by your story.

Hope we win too. I'm still rooting for the Tigers regardless, but would like to see Jones get his first SEC win tonight.

Game time is 7:05 p.m. and the game will be broadcasts regionally on the SEC Network ( Louisiana affiliates - Alexandra KLAX-DT2; Baton Rouge WBXH; Lafayette KLAF; Monroe-El Dorado KARD; New Orleans WUPL; Shreveport KSHV)

WBXH is channel 9 so that is your best bet... Or you could just go to the game...

I have not seen film on him but a 6'5 guard who can post in college would be a big advantage and given his size, I would guest that he is capable of taking someone down to the block.

I know Hickey is quick and leads the nation in steals, but he is not the first quick short guard that Turner has faced.

If Hickey continues to go at the pace he is, and he hasn't slowed down in SEC play, then he will have the most steals per game since 2004-2005 season. Pretty remarkable.

I'm fortunate enough to be able to afford to be, along with my husband a)boosters for the Tip-Off Club, at their higher membership level b) we're contributors to TAF.
That brings perks, as a result we get invited to view practices sometimes, pre-game "dinners"where the coaches come and address us with a scouting report and team info. We also get to go to short, informal "hang-out with the players" lunches. The kids are taught how to deal with the public and are supposed to be nice to the boosters!

This is why I'm always optimistic and supportive of the team. I get to see the kids on the practice floor and chat with them in a different environment. You kind of get attached to them, in a way, as a result.

If you can afford to spend $300 per year, you can become a member of the Tiger Tip-Off club. If you have a spare $500 you get the higher "Starting Five" level and get to watch practices.

The current line on this game has LSU favored by 1 point
Yea and LSU was favored by 10 over South Carolina and loss by 9. There has been a line on 10 of LSU's games this season and their record is 3 - 7.

The line has moved to A&M favored by 1.

Maybe this is in part because of published stories like Injuries Mounting for LSU.

I hear you there. I worked at the PMAC for a year while I was in school. Some really awesome memories. I struck Taz Mitchell out in a game of stick ball once. *claim to fame*

I might need to. Im in my first year out of school though and I already buy 2 nice season tickets. It's my passion obviously, but I have a lot of passions and they add up financially.

I'm a 5th year senior at LSU and I, shamefully, have never been to an LSU basketball game as a student. My sister dated Jordan Green on A&M's team when she was in High School and we want to go support our Tigers and see an old friend. My question is whether or not another friend who graduated from LSU In December will be able to join us in the student section if she buys a general admission ticket? TIA

A&M is 6 - 4 against the spread including 3 - 2 on the road ATS.

With the way LSU has been playing as of late, I thought they would be about a 5 pt dog against A&M at home.

Jordan Green

A token of my appreciation & for all who haven't seen it...

Watched him play briefly off the bench a bit last year and he looked very timid. I imagine some of that's dissipated - FWIW.

See y'all at the game!
