I expect them to get back and play defense after a made basket. They haven't done that all year.

Good game. Glad we got the sec win because they are hard to come by for both of us.

When JOB3 missed that shot and then hung his head and jogged back while his man beat him down to the other end for a layup I almost wanted to throw the t.v. out the window.

And CJJ kept him in there. Hopefully, he makes that clear to Johnny and the rest of the team in very persuasive and consequential terms that such crap is absolutely unacceptable.

Cause this hot-headed mo-fo would have had him on the bench right then and there.

This one is probably the hardest loss in a string of heart break losses. Absolutely sucks.

Negatives:

1) JOB's progression is atrocious.

2) I personally disliked the timing of our press. We used it at odd times and really put us in bad spots with stamina. We just don't have the legs to sustain a constant press and I personally rather make our charge in the last minutes rather than at the 8 minute mark.

3) the fact that this team is better than its conference results so far. Have to find a way to swing games like this into the Win column.

Bright spot:
1) Malik looks to be getting better every game and hopefully logs more playing time moving forward. I suspect solid progression in the offseason.

2) Hickey

3) Incoming recruiting class

Is the talent on this team THAT bad, that we can't even beat any of the SEC bottom feeders?

So here's a hypothetical. Switch talent and coaches between LSU and Florida/Kentucky. Yall think Johnny Jones will produce the same results at UF and UK as Donovan and Calipari? What about if D and C had this same LSU team. Yall think we'd be 0-4 in the SEC against the weaklings of the league?

Tolerance of negligence is NOT what I want to see in a basketball coach. Laziness and self-pity on the court is unacceptable and the head coach allowing it without consequenses even more so.

I agree Brave. Maybe Jones will meet out the consequences in his own way and I'll give him that benefit of the doubt.

But as for me...I sit him right then and there. To the "who are you gonna put it" crowd, my answer to that would be IDGAF....if it costs us a game the lesson will be seen by the whole team and it will win us games down the road.

In this case he stayed in and we still lost.

Our talent is mediocre but I'd say it's at worst on par with 3 of the 4 teams we've lost to and probably a hair better than 2 of them.

It's mediocre talent underperforming that's killing us. Johnny will get the talent in. And underperforming talented teams still make alot of NCAA tournaments. Just ask Dale.

Hard to say just yet. We've never seen CJJ coach alot talent including all his years at UNT. He was Dale's assistant when Dale seemed to actually do better with lesser talent than with his more talented teams. Early impressions are he did not inherit that trait from Dale. But they really are totally different types of head coaches.

Why did ADP get pulled 90 seconds into the 2nd half after making two good plays. The guard bounces a pass off his shin that he recovered, drove to the center of the key and laid in a nice basket, then played give and go on the next possession resulting in a foul on Georgia. Then during the free throws he gets yanked?

Because he's a liability on defense.

Yeah, I could see that at the end of the game when Georgia just started dunking with regularity. Wait... he wasn't in the game then...

He is our best interior defender and he is constantly helping out, IMO.

I have never read a post here that I haven't agreed more with. You are one billion % right. I don't know which player on this team can put pressure on JOB to play FOR THE TEAM, but someone needs to take that on.
He's like a big baby ( and I don't mean Glen Davis).
