In perspective, seriously what record did people think we’d have this year? We lost our entire starting pitching line-up and some of our biggest bats. A record of 15-17 conference wins is realistic, anything above was a little delusional. Look at Arkansas, they returned darn near everybody and only won 18 games. Florida returned a majority of their NC team and won 20.
I don’t think anyone is pleased with LSU at 15 wins but with the injuries to Smith (his bat and glove was missed), Bryce and Feduccia and neither Stortz or Labas being healthy enough to really factor into pitching 15 isn’t surprising. We’ll be a 2 or 3 seed in someone’s regional and will scare the crap out of the 1 seed. We might even knock someone out
Next year (I know...) we should be loaded at pitching!!! Hilliard is wicked, Walker back and Labas/Storz healthy will make for a hell of a staff. If Hess comes back he can be our shutdown closer. All we need now is a BATTING COACH!!! (Did I do that right?)

It does not matter who leads off. We gave up nearly 10 runs per game at Auburn, scored enough runs in each to win with decent pitching.

You gonna insult a nearly 69 year old man about a mercy rule comment when it is 12-2 in The 7th? That’s when we called a run rule in legion bal as I recall.
