Sure he made two very bad plays versus bama the first time. Do you want to start counting the number of really bad plays JJ made in the last 5 games?

Intentional grounding in the endzone versus WKU. Several fumbled snaps and delay in getting plays. The entire first half vs UGA and the entire game versus Bama in the BCS with special mention of that atrocious flip to Ware's back???

And I can go back and point out all of the bad plays Lee made throughout the season. The difference is I don't have a selective memory like you.

Both QB's had good games and bad, both made great plays and bad. Neither one was good enough to get it done this year, but I'm not allowed to argue that without being called a fanboi.

Roger is likely the preachiest poster in all of TD.

He only shows up in threads to tell people who disagree with his opinion just how wrong they are about everything and how they are a) biased, b) delusional, or c) uninformed.

Since you actually told me that, I will take it as truth. Maybe you changed your mind...if so...

OK sport. here we go

2008: Miles decides on co-def coord That experiment lasted one yr. Ruined Lee as an elite 11 QB. The kid had no option other than throw against the best defenses in the nation. Three #1 ranked teams and #22 ranked Ole Miss were his only losses. But a freshman trying to keep up with that defense, ruined him. Miles call

2009: Miles shut down everything. Wasnt going to relive 2008. This ruined JJ. 35 sacks, and forever a fear of going vertical. Tuck and run is now the offensive mindset. Miles call "likes his feet"

2010: Kept Crowton. Now JJ and Lee have only one yr of eligibility with a different coach. JJ is still in the tuck and run mode. 9 ints, 4 TDs in the regular season. Lee is brought in (only to save Miles job). Once Miles got that 9th win (per contract for renewal), you never saw Lee again. Miles call

2011: Miles is forced to go exclusively with Lee. We now have one of the best offenses and QBs in the nation. And the best LSU has had in yrs. Tuck and run is banished. Huge wins on the road, and vs. ranked teams. And yet JJ is inserted on the 2nd series of his 1st game back. Doubt and uncertainty creeps in. Miles wants a 2 QB system (until he got that 9th win)

The rest is history. And all of Miles' making, except for the part where he was forced to go with Lee. And that was the best part

Or like Coach Miles. It would be interesting to watch some game film with Coach Miles and ask him how come Jefferson was not replaced in some games after taking drive-killing sacks/intentional groundings, fumbling snaps, or throwing interceptions when Lee could be doing just fine in a game (Tennessee, Auburn) yet Jefferson was always inserted.

Before someone answers, "Miles thought Jefferson was better," let's not forget that it wasn't just LSU fans thinking that Jarrett Lee was having a great year. TV analyst like Gary Danielson and Kirk Herbstreit praised Lee's play for most of the season. Anytime in the last 5 games when Jefferson was struggling, it wasn't the Jarrett Lee fans that was zooming in the tv cameras onto #12, that was the CBS and ESPN production crews that were expecting to see Jarrett Lee.

There were some money shots made back in October.

I support this bump for the humor value, especially the ones that were way wrong getting indignant that it got bumped.

It's a wonder we've even won a game in 4 years, huh?

Lord knows, if we didn't have Jarrett Lee the past 4 years, we'd probably be winless and extending Miles anyway.

Yeah, but can they do screenshots and spreadsheets showing us how awesome JJ was or how pitiful JL was? So what if both were successful starting QB's in college/NFL, and two of the top analysts in CFB? They have nothing on the experts in JJ's family and friend's circle that post on The Rant!

Would have lost So Car, Aub, and Troy in '08
Still lost the 4 in '09
Would have lost Tenn, Fla, and maybe Bama in '10
No telling about WVu, Oregon, etc in '11

So, keep hating on Lee. But theres about 16 losses that Lee did, or could have, made a difference

From the dude with the epic screen shot thread.

While I don't claim to have all the answers, it turns out I was way more "right" than you. I think that is where your insecurity stems from.

Both LSU guys were trying to make a play for the team.

It turned out poorly, but not for lack of effort by both.

Chit happens.

We had an elite type season, 5 elite type seasons in the last 7....try to enjoy it without finding something in P&G to crap on.

I'm not hating on anyone but your ridiculous opinion that Jarrett Lee is the only reason we won any games since the day he stepped on campus.

I'm not really sure what you are referring to.

But it's easy for you to be "right", because you never offer an opinion. Just tell other people how wrong they are in very abstract ways.

I don't know about winless, but we'd have lost to Troy in '08, cause I remember Jefferson coming in and looking bad.

We may have lost to La Tech in '09, cause I don't recall a 3rd qb on that team, other than McCartney.

In 2010, we definitely lose to Tennessee and Florida without Lee. So that 10-2 good regular season turns into a 8-4 Miles is much lighter in the pocketbook, Miles on the hot seat season.

In 2011, Lee performs admirably in starting 8 games and leading LSU to an 8-0 record. After two bad throws vs Bama, how does Coach Miles reward him? Buried him on the bench and never allowed him to pass again (okay 4 times) for fear of hurting Jefferson's confidence. It was ok to have Jefferson breathing down Lee's neck, but God forbid someone apply any pressure to Jefferson.

JJ was the QB that started the scoring, but yes, Lee finished out that game for us, after the entire team played a miserable 1st half.

I'm not sure I'd celebrate anything Lee did in this game.

I think this is one of the most overused misstatements on this board. It wasn't just "two bad throws" that got Lee to the bench in that game.

Regardless, there's no excuse/reason why Miles should have shelved him completely.

I won't argue the rest of the games, as I did that last week.

Seems the ESPN All_SEC team, the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl, the Stars and Stripes game, Randle, Peterson, TT, Gary Danielson, and perhaps Crowton share my opiniion

But you and Miles have convinced me otherwise. JJ was our best option
