Miles needs to hire an OC and let him do his job.

i thought that was the problem....you know, when LSU fired him. I had no idea that Crowton was the greatest coordinator ever and Miles just got in his way.

so i guess 2007 was all Crowton then Miles decided to take over.....until the beginning of this year when Stud called it.....then Miles called it for the last few games.

is that how we're going to play this game?

That OC didn't change the QB and derail a very productive offense in the last few games...

The LSU total offense was #87 after Bama, #62 after the Hogs, and #86 for the season.

I don't see much difference or any derailing, but each to our own.

Well, any derailing other that Bama.

This bump was AWESOME! It gets right to the point of why there has been so much complaining since the BCSNCG. We all saw it coming!! Well, some kept their head buried in the sand then, as well as now. Most of the posts in the original thread were spot on. We knew that Les was going to insert Jefferson at the first sign of trouble. I guess some, myself included, just didn't realize that once Jefferson regained the starting role, Lee would be kept off of the field so that he couldn't outperform Jefferson.

The last couple of games were very Crowtonesque. Miles is still neck deep in the offense.

Interpret things how you wish. Miles himself has expressed that the offense late in the season was comprised of many of his decisions.

Where you are so neck deep up Miles arse you can't see the world as it really is? Like that? The man isn't perfect and his actions hurt the team at the end of the year. He needs to let the OC be the OC.

You bitched at people all year for predicting the potential of Miles loyalty to JJ and now you have crawled out of the ditch and still bitching. Just see the world as it is and not some Miles utopia.

The man is a very good coach, glad he is here, want him for a long time but he has faults, and needs to address them

i know he has faults...ive blamed him for shite before. i just don't like the idiots that blame him for everything and give him credit for nothing. Like the playcalling....."oh, well when the offense was playing well that must've been someone else. but the horrible shite...that was all Miles". its fricking stupid conspiracy theory bullshite. im surprised you fell for it

if you don't believe me....start a thread asking "Who was responsible for the '05-'07 offenses and who was responsible for '08-'10" and see what kind of retarded responses you get.

Something tells me if roles were reversed and Jefferson started the first 8 games, had the offense ranked in the 80's, and threw consecutive interceptions against Alabama, then these same posters would have never wanted to see Jefferson play again.

Hell, there are still people on this site that argue Jefferson played terrible in his first 3 starts this season.

Cue the "fanboi" response.

Dude you are basically the opposite of this and it's no better. Miles has no clue of all the charity work you do for his case. he is a grown man and is doing fine for himself. The fan base supports him as coach, just not all of his decisions.

I am surprised even you are too ignorant to take Miles at his word and realize it was his descision. He has stated such. You think that disaster of a game plan was drawn up without his knowledge?

Give it up, the man doesn't even give a shite if you are defending him on something indefensible. He fricked up, we all hope lessons were learned.

The fanbois have been responding.....see your post.

Interesting that the fanbois still want to scream and yell and try to deflect from the fact that JJ was an anchor on the offense. Even the UGA first half and the BCS game wont deter them from arguing that fact!

And Lee was the anchor when we played Alabama the first time. There's plenty of blame to go around at the QB position.

Dude, there are people who never wanted to see JJ play after the first half of last year, and people who never wanted to see Lee play after '08 (see Choctaw)

What rock have you been under?

im still gonna need a link though....as im sure this would've been all over TD if true
LINK
quote:

On Tuesday morning, Flynn completed a series of passes in a move-the-ball period that showcased his increased arm strength and growing level of comfort in the pocket.

"I told him afterward, 'You're playing with a lot more velocity,' " coach Mike McCarthy said. "We teach them to play with their legs and their hips. Those three throws that he made were clearly, clearly an improvement from last year."

quote:

Flynn has had the benefit of just one of McCarthy's "quarterbacks schools" but has taken advantage. He understands the knocks about his arm coming into the draft and was determined to improve.

"I worked a lot getting more body into it," he said. "I've always considered myself to be a passer, and that's the NFL game. I feel like I'm throwing a little bit harder and more accurate."

quote:

As a senior, Flynn operated a spread-the-field offense coordinated by Gary Crowton. It won a national title and was a perfect vehicle for Flynn, who rushed for 402 yards in his only season under Crowton before sack yardage was taken off.

What it didn't do was prepare Flynn for the disciplined, drop-back system employed by the Packers.

"They were wide open," McCarthy said, referring to LSU. "There wasn't a lot of in-the-pocket, throwing-the-football. That was one of the things he needed to improve on. He's throwing the ball from the pocket a lot better than last year."

quote:

"When he was at LSU, of course he was a great leader and everything like that," said rookie fullback Quinn Johnson, a teammate of Flynn's from 2004-'07. "But when I got here, his mechanics and everything, just a completely different player. His arm used to be good but it was nothing like now."

Sure he made two very bad plays versus bama the first time. Do you want to start counting the number of really bad plays JJ made in the last 5 games?

Intentional grounding in the endzone versus WKU. Several fumbled snaps and delay in getting plays. The entire first half vs UGA and the entire game versus Bama in the BCS with special mention of that atrocious flip to Ware's back???

Yeah, that's kind of my point.

There so many on each side that dislike one QB and try to make the other seem like a stud that got treated unfairly. Depending on which QB you chose, you're either a "fanboi" or a "hater."

I won't say terrible, but I'll give Jefferson credit for playing a good game against Arkansas, even though the offense was awful for the first quarter and a half until a facemask penalty bailed LSU out of a 3rd and 10+ situation.

Western Kentucky- any of the 3 LSU qb's would have done well here
Ole Miss - that team had quit on the season already and I could have looked good at qb for LSU that day
UGA- awful
Bama- words can't even describe

He started off poorly but put together one his better games in his career at LSU. Every once in a while JJ could play well for most of a game, just wildly inconsistent.

Should have always been a two QB system with these guys.
