Put burrow on that 2015 team and it would have been fun.

Put a senior Burrow on that team that’s not months from arriving on campus and it would be fun.

JB on that team under center and Les M still is coaching at LSU.
I’d bet every dollar I have.

He definitely got better as the year went on, despite mostly poor OL play. I still think 2018 Burrow would have been a significant improvement over 2015 BH. Jmo

LSU's defense had a ton of take aways and turnovers that resulted in great field position for the offense. And even then LSU struggled to get touchdowns in the Redzone. Poster like Ben will use the total Redzone scoring stat because it covers up the fact that we couldn't score touchdowns. Settled for field goals almost every time.

And in 2018, I wouldn't call an offense average if it goes without a passing touchdown in 4 straight games, and 6 total on the season. Half of the regular season LSU went without a passing touchdown.

Great post. That's also with a bad O line. I think next year is going to be a 10 or 11 win season. It all depends on beating Texas. If we do that we will be top 5 by the time we get 6 games in. Then Florida and Bama I think. Could be a great year, Texas game sets it all up and I'll bet O knows that. We will throw the kitchen sink at Texas.

Are we really going to argue over how productive or not the LSU offense was this season when it was ranked eighth in the SEC? It also produced less yards per game and less points per game than what Cam produced in 2015 and we fired him.

Sure, it was more productive than our 2017 offense, but who knows how much of that was due to the interference of Coach O which has been well documented.

Our offense has struggled since 2014 which has also been well documented. Let’s just all hope our offense becomes a strength this season as opposed to the weakness it has been for way too long.

Is anyone really going to make an intellectual argument comparing 2015 to 2018?

Do you even know why he interfered?

If you want to know just look at Maryland’s stats this year. Enough talent to give Ohio Stare all it wanted but could manage only 100 total yards against Michigan State, was putrid against Temple, and mediocre many more times.

averaged 32.4 points per game which is more than the team averaged in the 2017, 2016, 2014, 2012, 2010, 2009 and 2008 seasons.
Disingenuous with 7 OTs, or practically another game worth of scoring.
421 divided by 14=30.07, good enough for #58.

One has to go all the way back to 2009 to find a worse
LSU offensive efficiency of 5.3ypp(No FCS).

You are right on que. I bet 2018's #6 final ranking was a tough pill for you to swallow, and I'd imagine you are pretty nervous about the possibility of 2019 being a great season, since after all, you have not been shy about stating O will destroy the program. He's making you look pretty stupid/biased so far.

As for the offense, they scored more points in conference play than every team but BAMA, even after you back out all overtime stats from all teams. I'd say that's pretty good considering zero returning production, brand new to program QB, suspensions, injuries, new OL coach and new OC.

Also, one would have to go back to never when taking into account the very highly ranked defenses lsu played. Even Miami was top 5. But, even new posters know your agenda just by reading your history.

Also faced 6 defenses in the top 20 this year. New OC,QB, bad oline play, lost one of the best rb’s in the country...it’s disingenuous to not consider that

I understand the offense not looking great against top tier defenses. What I don't understand is why did the offense looked like arse against the bad teams too.

New offense, new qb, new rb, bad oline play, players not excited to play inferior opponent.

We started with Miami and then played SELA with Auburn the following week...do you really think the players cared about the SELA game?

There was zero continuity in the starting OL for the first several weeks due to injuries. The suspension of Ingram really hurt an already inexperienced OL.

The argument I always hear is why didn’t we go 4-5 wide vs Bama. We tried spreading them early and 92 was going through our line like it wasn’t even there. JB was getting killed. The coaches decided we need to try max protect or we will lose our QB...the oline caused many of our problems this season.
