I have been optimistic about this team all year, but there is too much talent to be getting beat in this way. The only thing I can attribute it to is the fact that we just aren’t mentally tough/ don’t have a lot of spine. When bad things happen, we have a tough time bouncing back from that. Whether any of you want to admit it or not, (I’ll take downvotes). Any team that wins alot/ goes far has the ability to turn the page. We cannot because we lack that mental edge teams have.

Do you know why LSU baseball became so popular not just in Louisiana but also in other places around the country like Omaha? Winning helped, but other schools have won big but not garnered the big support that Skip Bertman’s LSU teams did.
They played a style of ball that people enjoyed. Hustling all over the field, diving for balls, playing with emotion, being good with the media. All of those things helped build our brand.
Neutral fans can’t get behind a team who’s goal is to drag out a 9 inning game to four hours.
