Many of the voters got see for the first time just how good this team is defensively.

While we have been good defensively for most of the year, the last 2 games haven't really shown it

Not trying to be negative, but it worries me that we are the only SEC team in the top 36. I know we have a great team, and every accomplishment this year is pretty much unexpected, so I am happy. But, can this team really go very far. ( I hope so!!!!) But, can this team beat the likes of Pitt., UConn., UNC,. The only way for our team to win a game like that is for them to stay out of foul trouble and have at least 2 guys hot from the outside. A team with a dominate big man is going to be hard to beat. Not sayn we can't, cause Patterson for UK put up 28, Meeks had his numbers, and we still won. It's not going to be easy.

Not on your average day, but anything can happen in the tournament.
I think we can definitely compete with anyone.

There were moments where the defense broke down a little, but two of the league's best offensive players in Calathes and Meeks were kept in check for much of those two games. Only time Meeks did much at all was when Temple was out of the game.

Let's enjoy the unexpected journey. Why worry now about the teams we MAY not be able to beat???? There are certainly teams in college basketball that look better than LSU but the best teams don't always win the tourney.

We were in that Utah game for the first half. Awesome rank though.

In fact the NCAA tournament the best format of any to have if you are a Top 30ish team looking to get a title.

The BCS favors the top 2-3 and the CWS favors the top 10-12

frick off you loser.

Did you even read my post?

Saying that I'm glad we're no. 11 but our rise should have come quicker given we're only a 4 loss team is not negative. It's called pride in our team and a desire for our wins to be acknowledged.

You asswipe.

I remember an announcer for the UK game stating that LSU was the most underated 1 conference lost team in America, and he said they could be a sleeper team to make it to the final four. Maybe the voters took notice.

I think we could definitely compete well with UNC and OU. Hansbrough or Griffin will get their numbers, but put GT on their best guard and it is pretty much lights out for that player. Also, Bo and MT's defense has much improved over the season.
