He could not keep Bingham in the lineup. He was having terrible at bats and was given multiple games to get out of slump.

I was really hoping Kling would take the next step this year but if Brown earns the spot then that’s how it should be.

Bingham couldn't even do that. He struck out in all three of his ABs yesterday. He hasn't made solid contact with a pitch in a month. Just completely unproductive ABs. His lone hit the last month was a cap shot dribbler that found grass between the pitcher, SS, and second baseman

Mac is 1 for 25 against SEC pitching going back to April 20th. In that span he had 5 walks and 9 K's. That's a .200 OB%. I was pulling for the guy, but you can't have that in the lineup. Kling and Brown have both done better than that in the same span. It's time to get them off the bench and play matchups with them.

If a lefty comes in, I'd pinch hit Frey and let Kling replace Brown in CF. I don't know why we'd use Neal or Bingham at this point. You don't PH Pearson or Larson with Neal. And Bingham isn't going to replace anyone defensively except maybe Larson very late in the game.

I say regardless of how it’s going early let Hurd try to figure it out. LSU is in the tourney and Hurd’s confidence can’t be hit more than it already has so if he’s all over the place early let him try to figure it out. If he can find something today I think that’s way more important than getting the win
