I'm 100% sure it was 1979. Ensminger and Woodley at QB kind of date this to a very specific time and place.
We did play USCw in Los Angeles in 1984.

I was there. Neither defense could stop the other team's offence. Kevin Faulk was at his best. On a post earlier today about rude and obnoxious away game fans ( I voted Arkansas as the worst) I stated that the N.D. fans were the nicest . It was this game I was referring to. The greatest LSU - ND game in my opinion was the 1972 game. Some of the loudest games in Tiger Stadium history were when the stadium held 67,500 people.

My freshman year at LSU. I remember watching that game in my dorm room and screaming at the TV. After we lost, I had to go for a walk to calm down.

Right,1971. 72 was the Bert Jones to Brad Davis game against Ole Miss. Those were the days.

That was about as cold a football game that I've ever attended. Stadium was a dump too.
