I get past history bt the two as a factor but:
- Heisman frontrunner
- Receiving corp about equal
- LSU is a proven commodity against top teams (this season)
- Alabama largely untested so far this season
- Lesser opponents able to move the ball and score on Bama
- Bama lack of dominant pass rush this year
- LSU defense trending in the right
direction
Seems like there are a lot of factors that would favor LSU.

Really not sure what empirical evidence has to do with the odds. If you flip a coin 100 times, just because you got 8 tails in a row doesn’t mean you’re more likely to get another
