Nice win, but it's A&M.

Big test Saturday.

They went cold from three and missed wide open shots in the last three minutes, but we played a four minute stretch of defense (from 7:00 - 3:00) where we gave good effort and got after it. Why can’t we do that more consistently?

Hell no. None of our players need to find any mojo at all lol. We struggle enough here lately without having one or some of them being suspended for finding mojo.

My apologies to Baby Shaq, he came up with some nice rebs late.
I like a Thomas as a player especially when he stays within himself, but he has to reign in the bad 3's.
Smart had a good game. Also Gaines gave some good minutes.

You NEVER apologize for road wins in conference (even in this weird “pandemic” BS), but this is the least confident I’ve felt about a Wade team since year one. Their defense is just as bad as last season and Thomas (while the raw numbers are great) is almost single-handedly killing the efficiency numbers. They have to find a way to play OFF him more

They have games vs two top 10 teams next. We should know after those if last week was just a blip or if this is a first weekend NCAAT team (if they make it at all)

we didn't play well tonight either to be honest.

First 10 minutes and last 6 minutes we looked good. Had energy and moved without the ball a little bit. The long stretch in between that, sheesh! Was ugly

because the coach doesn't demand it and doesn't punish players who don't give it.

If Wade benched players for lackluster defensive effort, he'd get more effort. Short term pain for long term gain.

But the players know he won't do that.

You say that but A&M was missing wide open 3s just about every possession in the last 6 minutes. Usually multiple times during a possession.
