Brennan, Max and Nuss should be on a short leash. You frick up and throw a stupid interception, you are out and next man in.
that makes the QB play scared, and is the opposite of what we should want.

Now yes, if a QB repeatedly makes bad decisions, then the coach can consider pulling him.

But to yank a guy at the first bad error means all QBs will play scared. And that's bad.

Transfer portal changes the dynamics of things.

Coaches need to keep kids happy so they might feel pressure to play a 2 qb system even when it’s not in the best interest of the team

Ask Bert Jones how much he liked it, Cholly Mac lost good QBs to other schools because of it.

One righty and one lefty to prepare for is an advantage to the LSU offense and nightmares for the opposing defense.

WRONG! If we play two quarterbacks it will mean neither have enough skill to win the job. Rhythm and being able to execute and repeat it is hard enough with one QB twice as hard with two. Eventually you become predicable (and it won’t take 2 quarters of football) B/C the other team will be ready for what the other guy does. Diversity that looks the same pre snap is the key.

Worked pretty well for Florida in ‘06. I’d envision a Carde/JT Barrett style competition a la OSU 2015. Not a terrible thing.

no, coaches need to win.

Coaches don't decide which QB to play based on possible transfers. He picks the guy that gives the team the best chance to win now.

Period, end of story.

It never works out that way and no it isn't.

I would play either Max or I would use the dual QB system to find out who is best.

I think The only time a 2 QB system works is when you have a starter and then a situational QB who can throw and do designed QB run plays.

Leak and Tebow
Flynn and Perilloux in 07

Which is exactly what we have now. Two good QBs who compliment each other. One is lefty too, which adds to the preparation time of the defense. They shouldn't be switched out every series, but Johnson should get 5-10 snaps a game.

It's suprising to see so many LSU fans on this board who jumped on the bandwagon after 2007
