Don’t forget co-defensive coordinators. Works very well we found out…

I think The only time a 2 QB system works is when you have a starter and then a situational QB who can throw and do designed QB run plays.

Usually if you have 2 QB's, then you really have none...

Myles runs the score up in the first half, then Max gets his. Same shite Bama did with Tua. Puss leg played half of every game. Prolly cost him the Heisman though

The 68 DVs are like Speckle Trout on shrimp. You are so easy, this is fun #DEEPFRIED. There will be no two QB system, just wanted to see the MELT. Myles will be the man!

Yea, but they didn't share time equally. Hodson was the starter.

Guidry came in under 3 scenarii:

1) Hodson was injured
2) The game was well in hand, one way or the other
3) Hodson was struggling (cf Alabama game, 1988).

No, especially when said QBs are pigeonholed into running specific plays. Just allows the opponent to know exactly what the offense plans to do and basically dares them to stop it.

Oftentimes in the past, they did.

Woodley and Ensminger worked pretty well.

In the new SEC with a 9-game schedule, you better have two QBs.

Smart coaching would mean getting each QB meaningful reps during all games. Much like the Bear did with Steadman Shealy and Jeff Rutledge, and coach Mac with David Woodley and Steve Ensminger.

The grind of a 9-game SEC in going to produce a lot of wear and tear on your QB.

Having your back=up ready to go seems logical and smart to some of us.

Having your backup QB ready to go =\= a two-QB system.

You don’t force your backup into a close game just in case he may need to play down the road.

Also, if the back-up knows he will receive meaningful reps during the season, he probably sticks around with the new transfer rules.

Sometimes, you must think long-term.

Did Nick Saban need to run a 2 QB system to build a dynasty....no, if you have 2 qbs you have no qb. Best one gets all the reps that's the chance you take to play with the big boys and the coaches don't owe them anything more than a fair shot at it.

Good point. But Nick only played a 7-game regular season SEC schedule.

And Little Nicky pulled the plug on QBs more than once to insert the backup...

Max should start because he opens the playbook.

Let it be known that there is not much room for error. Brennan, Max and Nuss should be on a short leash. You frick up and throw a stupid interception, you are out and next man in.

co-defensive coordinators

The problem with that is neither Mallory nor Peveto knew jack about coordinating a defense. Bo Pelini and John Chavis might have been able to work something out together.
