While this transfer does leave the team without as much depth as desirable, especially if McMillan also transfers, does anyone really think that a QB who went 6 for 14 in the recent scrimmage was even a threat to become backup? It changes little.

is Burrow a bitch too? What about Giles? Fehoko?

If you can't see the difference in these asinine comparisons then I don't know what to tell you. Every transfer is not doing what LN did. He had no leverage what so ever and decided to bail on his team. Big difference.

How do you know we didn't "bail" on him? He said in the interview that he wants to be a real QB, not just a "wild cat." How do you know we didn't promise him the moon when we recruited him and the pull the rug out once he got here and said, "No, we changed our mind, we want you to be a running QB in only these packages!" Schools will tell recruits anything to get their signatures.

I'm not saying we did or we didn't, just that we don't know all the facts.

huh???

Every transfer (except those kicked off their previous team) is looking for a school that's a better fit for their skill set. No difference at all.

So it's only a problem when a player transfer from LSU? When transfers come here like Burrow did it's fine accorfing to your logic.

Narcisse did the same thing Burrow did to Ohio State when he found out his role on the team so he did what's best for him.

Not blaming Narcisse but you have to appreciate guys like Matt Flynn. He signs and Jamarcus Russell is part of that class. Flynn waits his turn and starts 1 year and wins the NC. For that matter Flynn could have seen himself a better fit in the system and maybe won 2 NCs if he starts his Jr year but still waits his turn.

Good point. Narcisse was going to work himself into playing time, but couldn't wait. LSU stuck by him with his bad knees, and now he's bolts.

How so?

So kids who transfer to LSU are soft too, right? Or nah?

You think if he was good enough to start Ensminger wouldn't have adapted to his skill set? The dude wasn't even here long enough to break a sweat

Not even close to being the same. Burrow was a graduate transfer. LN was a RS freshman lol. Burrow was under the impression that a younger guy MIGHT be ahead of him. LN had been beat out by older guys and would be left with 2 years of playing time as the starter had he waited.

Unless they told him they wanted him to change positions, this is a stupid, childish, no-chest move and just proves that Narcisse doesn't have what it takes to lead a team anyway.

Was it "no chest" when Burrow left OSU, or does it only fit your narrative here?

What an ignorant statement.

Explain. I'm open to hear how you think we'd have no losses at the position by bringing in a guy that was NO DOUBT gonna take over as #1 or 2. Of course that would push on of the other 3 out

He is soft because he decides to leave LSU? Maybe he felt like Brennon was ahead of him and didn't want to risk fighting for the starting position next year and not winning it.. Where as now, he can transfer to a JUCO, have an opportunity to showcase his talent and end up somewhere that will better fit him.

That's just the nature of college football at this point. You can't blame a kid for seeking opportunity elsewhere. It might work out for him, it might not, but don't shite on him just because his decision isn't in your best interest, as a fan.

I wasn't commenting on whether LN was good enough. None of our 3 other QBs are good enough.

I was merely commenting that players leave to better their chances at getting on the field. Nothing wrong with that.

Did Narcisse leave too early? Maybe - we'll find out down the road. But I don't blame players, especially QBs, where only 1 is the main man, for leaving.

Eligibility is short and most guys don't want to sit. Go where you can play.

Hell, LSU accepts transfers, and we don't scream that they're quitters. We're glad to have them.

The “LSU stuck by him” narrative is plain BS. Every school that had offered him stuck to their offer. There were other schools still after him down to the day he signed (Auburn, Memphis, UNC, etc.) he just chose to play for his home state school.
