Flau’Jae Johnson was money!
Easily the 2nd best player on this team IMO and only a freshman

Okay, glad we got the win and congrats to Arkansas. They’re a good team and played extremely well in a loud and hostile PMAC.
Yeah we need to clean up turnovers but tonight I think our bigger problem was excessive theatrics and celebrating, trash talking, etc. in the heat of the game.
Great game for Angel Reese, but there’s a difference between emotional leadership and distracting theatrics. I think she produced more of the latter and it contributed to some of the chaos and disorganization out of our team tonight. Flau’jae Johnson, on the other hand, was razor focused down the stretch without the extraneous bullshite coming from Reese and Morris.
Hey, I’m glad we were pushed to the limit since we got the win. But these distracting emotional theatrics tonight in the midst of a tight game will prevent this team from reaching the final four.

Needed some close games sooner or later. Glad we had one at home and came out on top.

Someone tell Champagne to go away.

Totally agree but you gonna get down voted because if you say anything bad about Reese God forbid. Look she is an awesome player and a leader but the show boating and celebrating and not getting down the court should not happen. Before she yells at her teammates she needs to work on free throw shooting. It should have not been that close. Johnson is a freshman All American.

It’s all good. I make some negative posts about the games sometimes, but didn’t really feel like tonight I was out of line

She plays better in the second half usually. The whole team does.
Today was odd. We absolutely stopped defending aggressively in the second half.

Loving the Desire and team approach. Mostly in womens sports. LSU F'd up when they refused to hire Kim 20 years ago instead of the old tired guy.

We got cheated bad tonight. The ridiculous warnings to Mulkey and the early phantom fouls had the Pmac livid. I've never heard boos like that at a women's game.
Add the fact that the students were back tonight and showed up in the hundreds and here we are.

Morris sorta crowd surfed on the student section after the game. Pretty awesome sight.

I saw something tonight. Arkansas couldn't attack the goal in the first quarter. They turned the ball over every time they tried. So They were relagated to shooting 3s early on. Then They switched something and sliced their way to the basket with ease by the 3rd quarter. But I don't know basketball well enough to know what they did differently.

I'm less concerned about her missed FT's, I'm more concerned with players celebrating and not running back to play defense.
Missing shots happen. It sucks but you have to live with it. The demeanor, trash talking, extracurricular are far more worrisome and what needs to get addressed. Arkansas had an easy 12 or so points just from LSU celebrating/looking for a foul call then not running back to defend.
Go compare their focus and intensity the first game vs the one tonight. Not even close. I'm glad the team soaked in and enjoyed the crowd but it has to be balanced with the level of focus to execution on all ends.

I think they got caught up in the big crowd tonight. It’s the first big crowd of the season for them and they spent too much effort playing to the crowd and lost some focus. I suspect they will see bigger crowds as the season progresses and into the postseason, so learning to channel that emotion in a way that doesn’t hinder their play will be a good thing.
