I think it's a natural reaction. Ricks was supremely blessed but could not get out of his own way. His parents and hangers on enabled it. Just like we love the underdog story, we also like to see those who are too big for their britches get brought down to earth. Particularly when they are arrogant and treat us like shite.

Eli will sign an UDFA contract. He will need to do some soul searching and realize that nothing is given. He can still be a success but he has to work hard now, for the first time in his life.

Ricks going to Bama after playing for LSU painted the only picture GMs needed. It was a selfish move and showed his true ill character. Then he gets to Bama and still had discipline issues. All Ricks had to do was see the bigger picture and his immature self could not. Hopefully he rebounds but he's definitely fighting an uphill battle.

You are missing he point. You can have all physical talent in the world but if you refuse to work and have a shitty attitude you aint going anywhere.

Do you know his back story? Cause if not you have no idea what could cause how he acts.

And there it is. A 5 star talent with a terrible attitude goes undrafted.

This might be the best thing to happen to him. Be humble and work.

NFL GMs don’t care about that. They care about winning. Ricks went to a potential playoff contender and absolutely shite the bed when he was against mediocre to good competition.

Frankly, I do not care. He had everything laid out. More than 99.9% of human beings. And he pissed it all away and lit the bridge here on fire on his way out. But keep white knighting for the Bama Boy.

My only hope for Eli is that this humbles him and makes him realize that nothing is given in life. You have to work. No one is special. I hope he learns that lesson. But I'm an LSU fan. I am not rooting AGAINST him, but I won't root for him either.

Why is his backstory relevant? There have been tens of thousands of ballplayers that had shitty life situations prior to college that DIDN’T act like total asses. If he washes out of football, at least he has his degree he can fall back on…..oh, wait. Maybe not?

Kool Aid made Ricks quit.

Ricks will be playing USFL ball in 2 years.

Backstory is irrelevant. Life is all about choices. Old enough to know right from wrong, good from evil, etc. He is responsible for his choices.

My 7 year grandson knows that he needs to make good choices.
