Louisiana Tech earned even more respect last night

Their fans traveled well. We’re very loud. The team played hard and could have knocked LSU off. They have a good program with nice uniforms and tradition. Very original and non-generic.
It was a fun matchup for a non P5 OOC game. Personally, I wouldn’t mind playing them every other year in Tiger Stadium. Compared to the other instate schools, Tech seems to be the most deserving of a semi-annual matchup vs the Tigers. It Almost felt like a good instate rivalry.

Tulane is the only one that counts.

Tulane sucks. Their administration and alumni don’t give a shite about football or athletics.

I have no problem with tech. They played well and have a solid team this year. They’ve been on the cusp of taking the next step for awhile.

Frick the Ragin Cajuns too.

La Tech actually has a pretty decent home game atmosphere. Obviously there isn't the crowd size in Ruston but they still have the old school tailgating, partying, etc type atmosphere pre-game. Most of the commercialized stuff is mostly local businesses but the fans literally tailgate for free right outside the stadium.
Maybe they aren't much different than everyone else I've only been to ULM and La Tech games over the last 5-6 years. I'm just going by what I hear from friends and read on here, that it's a different type atmosphere at LSU tailgates and other big schools, even the in game atmosphere, while La Tech is still more old school style.
ETA: I'm not saying La Tech has a better game atmosphere than LSU at all.

Yeah, but they will always lose to some random shitty arse team that nobody knows anything about, every single year.

That and anytime a coach has success he just uses Tech as a stepping stone. That is their biggest hurdle. Being able to keep a talented coach.

If La Tech leaves UL System for LSU system we can play them every other lol

Agree. I don’t understand why these people hate every instate team so much. I don’t see what’s wrong with respecting that g5 team in Ruston?
That “frick everyone” attitude is so childish.

They should be the subject of humiliation and arse whuppings same as other in state schools. LSU is the only P5 team in the state, gets the best players and has the best facilities. This should never be a contested game excepting for an occasional uninspired performance. Don't make more of this than it should be.

You sound like a bitch.

It’s a fine school, attended by people who don’t have many academic options.

No. It's just how I see things. I just don't think much of Tech, and their wannabe fans. Tech should be just another rent-a-win. Nothing more and nothing less. The reason it was close is because LSU is not an elite program at present. It has nothing to do with Tech.

La Tech is an excellent school with excellent administration. It is by far the best state school after LSU. To tell the truth I was expecting a dogfight and we got one. Nothing but respect for La Tech.

Once again a bitch.
