Lou Tepper 2.0?

It sure feels like it. Carl Reese had LSU with a top 4 scoring defense back in the late 90's. Then the "linebacker whisperer" Lou Tepper comes in and we immediately drop to something like 105 the next year. We saw the same crap. Blown assignments all over. I was willing to give Pelini a pass because in my mind I thought the defense was improving after the S.C. game. At this point, I really don't think the man can communicate what he's trying to do, nor do I think what he's trying to do is very good. This is going to be a painful 2 years. We definitely aren't getting what we paid for.

I vote all threads that include Lou Tepper, Gene Chizik, and “switch to 4-3” be immediately anchored.

There are coaches that won championships because the stars aligned for one year, but then went downhill fast.
Just because a coach wins huge one year doesn't make them a great coach.
We should be in the championship hunt most years, given our recruiting, resources, etc.
If this year is an anomaly and we bounce back big in 2021, then maybe we reconsider. But right now, it looks like O's Burrow-Brady is the same as Chizik's Cam-Gus combo.
It's a fair comparison to at least consider, don't you think?
