I'm down with the struggle, Reb.

ionatiger started posting during the last tourney run and he's still around.....
Hard to believe that was in March of 2006. After LSU beat the Gaels, I became an LSU fan for the rest of the tourney. I posted the same "good luck" message right through the Final Four game.
Hard to believe that the 2006 Tourney gave me a college football team to root for and made me a Tiger for life (at least honorary).
Also, I should have heeded the words of milehigh and rmcc316 and never gone over to the O-T. Now, three years later it's worse than being a crack addict.

To be fair, whomever created the board didn't see fit to include Butler as an option under the "fan of" question. I could have signed up as a Bucknell fan I suppose.

I guess you guys don't exist then.
Nah, I thought you were joking so I check it out and there is none. But I'm sure it will be up there very soon.
edited: By the way Welcome to the board. You will find this board very interesting soon enough.

I'm not going to read thru this entire string, so this has probably already been pointed out, but the school's total enrollment is only 4,200 ... so I doubt whether there are "lots" of lurkers.

Yeah, I don't know what LSU's enrollment is off the top of my head, but I guess you have as many students currently enrolled at LSU as Butler has living alumni (38,000 or so last time I heard the number).
Speaking of alumni, I'm surprised you haven't drug out Butler's most infamous alum for discussion.

Another Butler fan jumping on board!
Xavier grad but the Dawgs are my #2 fav.
Couldn't handle my Muskies earlier this year could you?
Here's an interesting tidbit for the rest of the country. Butler has only a handful of home sellouts each year at beautiful, nostalgic, Hinkle. Often their game results in the Indy Star wind up on page three or four. Overwhelming # of Indiana & Purdue fans in the metro Indy area.
I'm thinking you guys are going to pull out a win Thursday for a very fundamental reason: Upperclass veterans in the backcourt.
Mack has kind of hit a wall as of late after a brilliant first half.
Norad, although a defensive force, is a work in progress on offense, often driving into traffic without a set plan.
Jukes, who spells Howard, is not 100%.
But I can't complain. Lost virtually the entire team last year, incoming class picked to finish 5th in the Horizon. Won league title, in top 25 for most of the year, have another emerging swingman stud with Heyward. After a year hiatus, non-conference schedule gets tougher again next year. With our top 9 players consisting of four freshmen, four sophs, & a junior AND a fine incoming group, what's not to like?
Good luck guys!

They now have an option for Butler fans in the "favorite team" section. You need to thank the almighty Chicken (our fearless leader) and his minion Jolly Green Giant.

1)Xavier is my alma mater & 1st love.

We like to make it easier for the idiots to point out an opposing fan and type profanities at them IN UPPER CASE LETTERS.
