You guys win and you're whining?

You had a final 4 two years ago; I don't think you're gonna be near that anytime soon.

Not since the ol' Dale "never has so little been done with so much" Brown.

Butler's youngters will be a top-12 powerhouse for the next 2+ years.

Take North Carolina and the points Saturday, you'll get a free ride on your utility bills for a month...

North Carolina Sweet Sixteen...write it down...stamp it...record it...your front-line 'strength' is crap...

To LSUShadoin...
Sorry but you're going down big time Saturday...

Read my lips: LSU is a team that has MAJOR HOLES...

What's the spread Saturday? I may go behind the wife's back and make a quick $100...
Yes you do, you beat a team less talented than you.
How's your recruiting class look?
You guys are toast with or without him...

I'm sorry, I took a 1/2 day off to watch everything. I'm a Butler fan (full of beer right now) but if LSU were my team I would be pumped for Saturday, forgive me...
To all'you'all...
the best team won today, I agree.
But Butler would keep NC closer than you will.

Can you clone five Thornton's Saturday?

I really don't think I deserved 'the bird'...

But that being said, at least Butler has 2+ years of top-12 ranking ahead. Good luck in your re-building efforts.

Congrats guys, the best team won. You basically did what you had to do. Contain Hayward. Get Howard in early foul trouble. Establish your athleticism. Exploit the Butler freshmen. Turn Thornton loose. Mission accomplished. :nana:
I'm already salivating over Butler's season next year (and the next one after that)

The down side for you guys?
Your inside game is as lame as a starved cow, your bench is non-existent, and unless Thornton goes into some other-worldly 40+ clinic NC will hand your arse to you before the last paying customer gets seated and comfortable Saturday.

In looking for an edge, I found this in the Sports Illustrated archives:
"since record keeping began on such things circa 1948 six Division 1 teams have played back to back games against teams named 'Bulldogs' during the month of March and all six lost both games"

I'm callin' my bookie... :pimp:
Gordon Hayward. Naw, he's just a green freshman, I'd ignore him and double down on Howard!

"psst, Coach Stevens?...do you think they bought it?"

re: Most Pick Butler over LSU.

No, the other 5.2% became disoriented and picked Middle Tennessee State.
Appreciate that but:

1)Xavier is my alma mater & 1st love.
2)I love JOhnWilliamCOLtrane...
Another Butler fan jumping on board!
Xavier grad but the Dawgs are my #2 fav.
Couldn't handle my Muskies earlier this year could you?
Here's an interesting tidbit for the rest of the country. Butler has only a handful of home sellouts each year at beautiful, nostalgic, Hinkle. Often their game results in the Indy Star wind up on page three or four. Overwhelming # of Indiana & Purdue fans in the metro Indy area.
I'm thinking you guys are going to pull out a win Thursday for a very fundamental reason: Upperclass veterans in the backcourt.
Mack has kind of hit a wall as of late after a brilliant first half.
Norad, although a defensive force, is a work in progress on offense, often driving into traffic without a set plan.
Jukes, who spells Howard, is not 100%.
But I can't complain. Lost virtually the entire team last year, incoming class picked to finish 5th in the Horizon. Won league title, in top 25 for most of the year, have another emerging swingman stud with Heyward. After a year hiatus, non-conference schedule gets tougher again next year. With our top 9 players consisting of four freshmen, four sophs, & a junior AND a fine incoming group, what's not to like?
Good luck guys!
