One home run, rest of runs where gifts by bad defense from FSU. If LSU played a good team last night they would haven lost. 1-5 in lineup only duplantis hit the ball.

Everyone in Omaha is a good team

So anytime a team gets a lead off of another team's error its luck?

It's clear one team had a better defense. I don't consider that luck.

He fell behind in the count to almost every batter which you can't do. I get the ump wasn't giving him the corners but that's part of the game and you have to adjust to and he couldn't really adjust to it. That's not labored that's looking awful.

If we play like we did yesterday against Oregon state the game won't be remotely close.

Groundbreaking analysis. We didn't play OSU last night though

And if we play like we did in most the rest of our 17 game win streak, we can beat anyone.

Yet, despite control issues he still racked up 8 Ks which is impressive.

No one said everything was grand. A team making errors isnt luck. It's called not making plays in critical situations. A 1 run lead is a critical situation. If you claim last night as luck then just about every baseball win can be argues as luck.

Dude this is all semantics. They were very fortunate not to drop a game against a decent FSU team. If we had lost everyone would be saying something totally different. THE board was already melting before the fricking game was over. We won by a count hair and that's all there is to it. I want all you guys to be just as blindly optimistic if we lose to Oregon state. If ur ignoring last night then shut the frick up if things go sideways against Oregon State

Well we didn't lose. And why is the board melting relevant to any discussion? This board melts if we go down 1 run in the 1st inning

I have no doubt he will iron out his inconsistent control issues at the next level. His has to be a release issue.

quote: What outstanding defense did we really play. Besides the 5-3-5 double play in the 7th? Come on dude we've been lights out defensively all year and last night was no exception. quote: I'm not rooting against them Why do you keep saying this? No one is saying you're cheering against the team. quote: I'm just not sure how anyone else that knows baseball can watch the game I watched and still chalk it all up to LSU just being better We played better defense, ran the bases better and our bullpen slammed the door.

Hey man I agree with all of that. And this isn't about what they have done this year. I know they are talented. Yes our bullpen locked them down. But if we would have been a little more patient. We would have gotten into their bullpen an inning or two sooner and this game would have been so close. I'm talking about the finer points. Aren't the finer points the difference? I was just saying there were no real defensive standout plays and I was wrong not to single out the infield play. They were sharp last night. I think we are turning this into a bigger team thing than it is. They struggle to manufacture runs. More patience at the plate will be needed. It's not like I think they are shitty. It's LSU.

On Monday when we play OSU. If we play like we did yesterday we will lose. I'm not trashing the team in anyway. It was a very very ugly win. That game against Florida state shouldn't of been close, but we have good enough talent out there to keep that game close. I also don't care about any win streak until the last game of the year ends with a W. if we lose twice in Omaha no one will really remember the 17 or so win streak we have. Only will remember it if we win the whole frickin thing. We have to play better than we did last night in order to do that which we have seen lately that they are more than capable of doing just that.

Because FSU didnt play good defense in a 1 run game. That's usually the difference in winning and losing in baseball. AT every level.

You mean the board that melts when we don't beat sec football programs by enough points?

We won by a count hair and that's all there is to it.
because our defense in a 1 run game was solid.

Ok bruh.

ok.

No one said we could beat OSU by playing the way we played last night.

Ok. I guess I don't consider being a better defensive team as luck.a worse defense makes more errors. It's clear ik not gonna say its luck and youre not gonna say it isn't luck.

Lol. THAT IS MY ENTIRE POINT. Maybe YOU aren't saying. You keep celebrating last night. Let's just move on. I'm sure the team has addressed the pros and cons of last night. Bunch of safe space pussies in here. Didn't mean to trigger u guys so hard.

What? So no one will remember winning the sec and sec tourney?
I for one will. It's amazing how everyone was griping that we wpuldnt win the sec a month and a half ago and now all the sudden no one will remember it.
