So no one will remember winning the sec and sec tourney?

Not most LSU fans....

In Baseball its ALL or nothing for LSU fans... SKIP set the bar, And Paul winning A Title in 2009 just made it that much harder every year.................

And he hasn't won since... Some LSU fans are pathetic.... Winning the SEC tourney means little to me as far as Baseball....

I will just remember it as an average year where we win sec but nothing else to show for it. Yes no one will remember the win streak if we don't win the whole fricking thing. Clear example is Kentucky going undefeated until the natty. I really don't hear many people talking about that year for them. So yeah I don't think you will remember this a year or two down the road if we don't win it all. Do you still remember and talk about our 7 game win streak in football a 2 years ago? probably no if you do talk about that year it's more of the losing streak we went on

Do you not remember the 2008 winning streak that got us to Omaha? I'll remember how this team was 10-8 in the SEC and ended up 21-9 and steamrolled to Omaha regardless of whether we win the whole thing or not

And that's crazy. Anytime you win the deepest conference in the country, it's should be celebrated and not just forgotten. It can be argued that sec baseball is deeper than sec football.
Right now there are 3 sec teams in the last 8 teams alive.

SKIP set the bar,

A bar that is impossible to reach today. No one is calling out bama because they didn't WIN 47 in row like oklahoma did the last 50's. Sports evolve. College baseball is no where near the sport it was in 90's.

Exactly. 2 months ago this board was nothing but," is it time for PM to go?" And now it's,"well if we don't win it all then no one will remember the way this team fought its way back to winning the hardest conf and conf tourney in all of cbaseb".

Winning the SEC tournament is nice but honestly doesn't mean a ton to me. Winning the regular season title and making it to Omaha are the real accomplishments

One that gets forgotten was the win against Long Beach State that put them into the 1993 championship game.

One of my favorite LSU baseball games ever. What a comeback!!

Yes I enjoy anytime the lsu football team reaches #1 in the country. Sure it doesn't reach the level of other great seasons but I'll always remember LF shattering every rushing record in lsu history and being the 1st sec to lead the ncaa in rushing in over half a century.

Sorry Ricky but most LSU baseball fans want Omaha.... they are more spoiled than football fans.... the SEC in baseball is very tough.... but baseball across the country is way different than football.....

I get that but I'd rather win it than not. Regular season is far more impressive I agree.

I agree. If you've ever seen the prediction trend-line which I believe is on the ESPN score page (maybe a linked page), there isn't much suspense when the line starts at 70% and immediately trends up to 90%+ for the remainder of the game. Yesterday's game would have shown maroon and trended 50>60>70+% up to the 8th then shifted to gold/yellow ~55>60% and probably pushing to 85% into the 9th. A great game changes colors and stays ~50%.

Some people would say that a great game is one that is never in doubt.

I know. It's just a shame that a sec title season is something our fans won't remember but our players always will. I'm not saying they wouldn't remember winning the entire thing more but I know a couple past lsu baseball players that didn't play much and they proudly tout sec titles.

Maybe my memory is just better and I have more space for these things.

I'm sorry who won the championship and who made it to the championship game? Was it lsu that was even runner up that year? No sir. So no I don't remember it, because of the expectations I have for the baseball team. I get we won't win it every year, but I'm not going to celebrate not winning the whole fricking thing.

Well they didn't play much???? So what...

Ricky I am not trying to be a jerk here but you have said yourself that winning a conference title is more important then winning the whole thing..... in baseball it's a different animal.....

It's really a shame you can't celebrate winning the hardest conf in cbaseb.

Well that's pretty pathetic. Going on a 23 game win streak and winning a thrilling super regional to close the old Alex Box and make it to Omaha is and was a pretty awesome thing to those that aren't completely miserable humans and it's a memory I'll keep with me for a long time.
