10-3 after a bowl win will feel pretty fricking good
I'll take that.

Then the day after the Bowl Game, can that fricker that coaches the OL, get KM (Or/And Sale) in here and rebuild that thing to an SEC Championship level. Shite, hire Key away from Bama and bring in Pendry as OL Shadow. Where's Cristobal coaching now? Want an SEC Championship, got to bring in OL coaches that know wtf they're doing!

Then hire a WR Coach that can tech coach and develop WR's. It's obvious that the LSU WR Corps is a perfect example of the "Blind leading the Lost."

Troy and MSU blowout will still make me though, no matter if we win out and play a competitive game against the Crimson Devils.

The absolute minimum that should be tolerated when you fire a coach that had managed 8-9 regular season wins the previous 5 years.

Another way to look at it is that we hired a guy who went 5-2 with all that NFL talent......

I'll take 10-3 after the abysmal start though.

Well. We avoided a disaster this year but O WANT HIRED for 9-3 years. He is supposed to win hardware. He has 3 years to win hardware it appears. We didn’t fire miles for wins. It was lack of hardware last 8 years.

This.

Hardware or bust - if 9-3 is acceptable we should have kept Miles.

I wouldn't feel too bad. The troy loss is inexcusable, however, the only positive out of that shite show is that it's not an sec loss. That may improve our bowl resume and keep us a notch higher. I know that everyone wants to win a sec title and that's the ultimate goal, but we have to keep our perspective. A better bowl is looks good on paper, is better advertising for the program, and is recognzed by recruits. On the surface, it's more impressive that we get matched up with a cache team like a Michigan. I knew there was some fools gold after BYU. Coach O or not, this team does not have a champ roster. Not enough depth. We need to win every game we can, get the best bowl and put our best foot forward in recruiting. It would be a pretty good salvage job by the coaches and a good gut check by some players who refused to quit.

Let's recap here.

An idiot who knew what LSU lost to the NFL draft since it happened in April and all of the defections of the O-line during the summer, some how comes up with the most ridiculous prediction of LSU going 11-1.

Let's recap here. I never said I predicted 11-1 genius.

With the way the season has gone, we have 2 wins everyone predicted as losses and 2 losses everyone predicted as wins. The effort given by LSU in those 2 losses was uncharacteristic of LSU teams. Aka those losses, or at the very least the Troy loss, should have never happened. Therefore, looking at the season, not preseason predictions, this team should at the very least be 6-1, and very likely 7-0 heading into bama.

Just because we won 2 games we thought we shouldn't have doesn't mean we have to find 2 losses on the schedule to make up for them.

Throw preseason shite out the window. LSU has 2 losses to teams that aren't very good. They shouldn't have happened, period. With the way the rest of the schedule is set up, only 1 game is an almost guaranteed loss. The rest are very winnable, therefore, in midseason review, 11-1 could've been very possible.

I'm hopeful we can beat Bama. However, to answer the question, I will be happy with a 9-3 season and a shot at 10 wins in a good bowl game. The reason we are playing so well now is twofold. First, our freshmen have matured and gained valuable experience. That always takes time. Second, players like Guice, Key and others are healthy. Considering the fact that so many fans were ready to write off the Tigers and predict as many as 5 or 6 losses, a 9 or 10 win season would be satisfying.

LSU started out by beating ranked SEC teams both on the road and at home. The last two weekends they have lost to MS State and Troy.

According younyoir logic the Troy loss trumps everything. If it's not OK for Herman to lose conference games to Navy, UConn and SMU, despite a top 10 finish and wins over Florida State and Oklahoma why is it ok to lose to Troy at home?

I found myself thinking the same thing about the games we shouldn’t have lost. But you know what? That’s college football. You can’t retroactively count those games as a win just because we’re playing MUCH better now.

I’ll take 10-3 considering where we thought we would be early in the season, and ESPECIALLY considering several people were predicting around that record as a CEILING before the season. We haven’t been 10-3 since 2013. I think it bodes we’ll for where this team is heading.

Count your lucky stars Coach O got his hot seat scare this early in his tenure, and also learned once again how important it is to let go and stay hands-off. Especially when things appear to be in free fall.

Gladiators look at the mountain (Bryant-Denny Stadium). At the top of the mountain Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide await you. We TigerNation will escort you up the mountain and cheer as you do battle with this worthy opponent. Your opponent is capable and confident of victory. You are brave, fearless and determined to win as well.

Most of you who are saying you'd be happy with 9-3 are saying that because your expectations were immediately lowered after the loss to Troy. Orgeron should NOT be rewarded for losing that game by getting a pass for the rest of the year.
If O finishes 10-3 with a a bowl win, that's not lowering standards at all. A 10 win season with a top 10 recruiting class is a very high standard. Is it not?
