BS..we were ranked that high because we were undefeated and rolling...who the fk are you kidding?
We started at 14 and teams in front of us lost.

Wanna blame this on O too I suppose?
No, just stating a fact. Funny that you say that team was better than our current one though.
quote:
ok if you say so.
It was.

So he did have the team completely prepared? ok..cuz for like 3 quarters we fumble-fked around like lost puppies.
What was it...like 34-10 before BH got rolling?.....after of course, we had to endure AJ's futility in leading the O until it was too late.
You're right we had em right where we wanted them.
Yea, you're legit retarded. I think it's time to just pretend you don't exist anymore.

Why do people keep saying this like it's true? Miles' repeated refusal and/or failure to update and evolve his offense lead directly to a steady stream of disappointing and underachieving win-loss records, which is why he was fired. Wins and losses and competing for or not competing for championships are what define a coach's success
Because both are true. Obviously if the team continued to have success with the Bo Schembechler offense it wouldn't be an issue. Clock management, poor in game adjustments and questionable play calls all factored in as well.
It was strange to watch because the old Les was the river boat gambler who took chances and wowed you with his moxie and he later evolved into an ultra conservative coach that would either wear you down or hope to pull it out in the 4th. Maybe a lack of confidence in his latter QBs or getting burned led to this, but it seemed we had gotten stuck in 2nd gear and it would not change.
I make not illusion that it will change with O. Are we capable of success because the sum parts of the whole are good enough or are we anchored to failure because of the weakest link in the chain (per others' view of the HC)? No one knows yet.

Against San Jose State and ULM?

ok if you say so.
What was Miles’ record against MSU again? I think 11-1 qualifies as anomalous.

That MSU loss in 14 was bad. Worse than the score indicated no doubt.
But that was a very good MSU team and not a good LSU team. Pretty simple.
Not sure why Oflakes have such a hard time admitting things like that about losses in the current regime.
Although with RTideR saying 14 was a better LSU team than 17, maybe the tide is turning so to speak

Just popping in to laugh at the fact that this thread is still going strong five days later
We're within a week of Christmas and y'all are really still bitching about a game from September

Wins and losses
Well if its just about the numbers then....O posted 9-3 his first year. Not great...but not horrible..no?
But here we are dissecting the 9-3 record...because y'all don't like WHO he lost to. Should it really matter if it's just about wins and losses.
So would have been better to lose to say..Florida and Auburn and finish 9-3? Win the Troy game and State game but lose these two.

Says one of the losers still harping about a coach that was fired almost a year and a half ago.

Neither scenario has us in the running for the playoffs, so who cares?

That would be voodoo, gold, and mojeaux fighting the good fight! They'll be bitching about the Troy loss longer forever.

Are they a good team? Yes.
why? because they beat LSU? because they beat 7 other teams with records of .500 or worse?

It's a message board wherein people discuss LSU football in general and in detail. Why is this an issue to you?

I mean, nothing we discuss on here actually matters.

Some 9-3 seasons are better than others, depending on who the wins and losses are to, conference record, etc. But (practically) ALL 9-3 seasons fall short of competing for anything that actually matters. That's really the bottom line here.

we're within a week of christmas and you're smugly commenting about people bitching about a game from september in a 5 day old thread.

I completely agree. 9-3 isn't what we hoped for but its not the end of the world.
The silver lining....we're getting the same thing we had under Miles for a cheaper price....and best of all, the offense isn't boring as hell to watch!

No.

Well I thought the idea was to improve results, not to make a change so that RedTigerRulz likes the offense more.
