Saban inherited 11 guys that would go on to the NFL...how many you think ulm had.

I guess Saban didn't develop them at all. What was their record the previous year? Facts and whatnot.

It is well you shouldn't.
Back when you played for LSU you NEVER lost to anybody amirite?

Human failings must be so trying on a perfect person like yourself. You have my sympathy.

They are still ranked by sites like CFN country at #84 which is about right.

Or how about a site made of deep analytics? Like FootballOutsiders' S&P+ ranking?

Oh look at that, 37th in the country to LSU's 20th. How dare we lose to a team only seventeen spots beneath us in a poll that uses actual statistical analysis.

Man it’s amazing how many people are trying to act like the Troy loss wasn’t total garbage. We need to get Moscona in here to start yelling at them

The fact that you side with Matt Moscona on any LSU-related opinion says enough

Coming off of a 3 win season.

Yeah it's totally the same as a 8 win LSU team losing to a Sun belt team.

Yep. If even the LSU backups lost to an undefeated Sun Belt team, that’s still embarrassing. There’s just no justifying a loss like that. Ever. We lost to Troy, it happened, and we have to deal with it—But we don’t have to pretend it was anything other than pathetic, no matter how good their record ends up being.

Good god. We are talking about elite athletes. I'm sure he did develop those far superior athletes than ulm had...but he must have done a horrendous job coaching that game. Facts and all. You are pathetic. Btw I'm not an O supporter. I was a miles supporter. You are still pathetic

LSU won 9 games, actually. And Troy went 10-2 (7-1) and finished 1st out of 12 in the Sun Belt

Tell the whole story.

I don't disagree we had no business losing that game but some people here are incapable of moving on and need to get the hell over it.

Also true. But LSU’s loss to Troy was worse...we were ranked.

"The Blazers hadn't had a winning season since moving to Division I-A in 1995.

But the Blazers came up with the biggest win in program history, a moment judged the school's greatest in sports.

And they didn't just beat LSU, they dominated. The Tigers committed nine turnovers — five fumbles, four interceptions — and 13 penalties. The Blazers led 10-0 at halftime and won 13-10 on Rhett Gallego's field goal as time expired.

The Blazers finished 7-4 that season"

Those losses by Saban were worse than the loss this season.

So why this thread? I think people would be happy to never mention it again, and yet we have threads that keep popping up like this, trying to pretend it wasn’t all THAT bad. It doesn’t help anything. Less of these threads, the more people move on.

I'm not an O supporter. I like the direction of the program, recruiting, and coaching changes. If he fails, fire his arse. I wasn't in favor of the hire but I'm a fair guy. Unlike your pathetic, trolling, miles loving self. If O wins a championship you might off yourself
