i've had that feeling since he got to LSU. Just a matter of time

I feel bad for the kid but after two seasons of struggling.

He might be athletic and he might be the most talented 2B we have on the roster, he just can't hit worth a shite anymore and that isn't good at all. He needs an injection of something

Fun fact: This was the first game, since he arrived in Baton Rouge, that he has missed. He has started and played every single game of his LSU career before tonight.

I think it's fair to say we all wish Jacoby would figure out how to hit .250. Problem is then we'd bitch about him not being at .300. It sucks that we are having the discussion at all, but I'm a defense first kind of guy. Right up until we need that two out ribbie late in the game. Catch 22 is what it is

hitting below .200 isn't good for being on a team like LSU

Give Yocum another chance. You literally cannot do worse than 1-27 and a SUPURB .190 AVG. Jones has been awful for 2 years.

Agreed. Not like Yocum is gonna play defense blindfolded

I always felt that Ross was the only one safe from benching due to his ability behind the plate. Jacoby is a good infielder and I like the guy....but he's not so fantastic that he is allowed not to hit.

Do people on this site purposefully misspell his name or just have no idea? This is his second year on the team, it's Yocom.

We're not missing that much fielding putting a 250 hitter there instead of a 220

If he was hitting .220 you wouldn't hear as many people making comments. Problem is, is that he's in the .180s.

A team like LSU can withstand two guys doing what Ross and Jones are doing when they are playing subpar competition. That's what's happened these first 30 games. MSU's the only tournament team we've played.

I am just not sure we can have two of them doing it against the rest of our schedule. We have a tough road ahead.

BTW. If Todd Walker can play second base well enough to get to the Majors and play as long as he did.......just sayin, give me break. If you can lob it to first (which Chuck Knoblauch showed can be a hurdle) and turn a double play, your golden.

Hell, I started three years at second in high school. I suck.

Leave him alone he's one of the most defensive players we have.....give him a break...we need offense but we have it

We have plenty of offense against shitty competition. The hardest stretch of our schedule is yet to come. If he's hitting .190 against the worst of our competition, I'm sure facing guys like Wahl and Stanek he'll magically start hitting better than 1-27.
