I think it is more a case of Miles favoring the better back over the inferior back. Blue was no slouch last year. He rushed for 5yds/carry and Ford had 5.4yds/carry. Both of those numbers are great. In Ford's case, his numbers do not go far enough to separate himself from the pack when he has had academic and playbook issues, ala being 5th on the depth chart.

Ford is still a great RB, but we just have a stable of them this year.

So people criticize Miles for not playing young players which has proven to be bullshite. Now he is being criticized because a Rant favorite is getting pushed down the depth chart because of younger talent. Please let me know what made up criticism of Miles is next so I can stay on top of things.

It's an awfully big stretch by Guilbeau to say that's what the current depth chart is based on one comment. If you watch the video Miles didn't say that was the order and he was just throwing names out that he thought played well.

I'm not obsessed with Ford like many people here, and I have always thought Magee was the best of our 3 RB commits last year, but I don't think he is #2 based on that comment.

Flip a coin argue the other side. Make a BBQ joke. You are now caught up with the rant.

Exactly, if Ford is having academic issues, this must be considered in playing time.

Since the Cotton Bowl it has been Spencer Ware's season. It doesn't matter which one you rotate in at the #2, barring injury, Spence will be the man.

After seeing the quote it would of been more comedic if it was just " I like how all the running backs not named Ford looked"

Yep. my kid is a teenager and he is constantly telling me "dad, this kid's a beast." there must be some word of the day calendar that float's around because everybody says it, "he's a beast' he's a beast." too funny.

I was never that impressed with Blue last year. His 5 YPC is pretty surprising to me, but it just never seemed like he was going to make a big run. Ford has much better ability I think but all the talk has been about Magee lately.

I think it is just motivation for Ford and that he will be the #2 back come September 2nd. And like someone said, it was written by Glen "Alleva will be named Tennessee AD" Guillbeau. Don't read much into what he says anymore

I think this article is full of shite.

There's no way that Michael Ford is sitting #5 on the depth chart.
