Who knows what will happen. We lost to Arkansas the last two seasons and I see Wisconsin as a similar built team. Both teams can't match LSU in talent.
Wisconsin will have to keep Fournette from breaking long runs and Harris will have to struggle. LSUs defense might have trouble adjusting to the new system early on as well. Even with a new defense, this is one of LSUs best teams on paper.
I'd still put my money on LSU, but it's definitely not a guaranteed win like some posters alluded to in this thread.

The tailgate is a great side matchup. LSU fans drink. However, Wisconsin fans are more than capable.
Trying to quantify this is about as douchey as it gets.

In what universe is Paul Chryst a better coach than Miles? Don't believe the idiots here that think a monkey could coach LSU to a national championship every year.

Alex Hornibrook is a R-Fr.

Wisco big white slow TE's will have a hard time beating LSU LB's and S.
Owen Daniels, Garrett Graham, Lance Kendricks, Travis Beckum are all Tight Ends that were coached by Paul Chryst as an OC.
Currently, Wisconsin has multiple four-star Tight Ends on the roster.
Long story short: Wisconsin's Tight Ends are not stiffs.

Your old coach is a lot better than your current coach.
Far from it.
Paul Chryst grew up in Madison, went to college in Madison, and has coached in Madison on two difference occasions (OC and HC).
Chryst is familiar with the foundation of which UW football was built. Recruits will gravitate to a coach that understands the culture of his program, school and city. Gary Andersen, in contrast, had no prior connection to Madison or the university, tried building the program into something it wasn't, and it resulted in terrible program fits, players not being admitted, and Andersen leaving because of stringent academic standards.
Chryst has always been one of the brightest offensive minds in CFB. His 2016 and 2017 classes are both very solid. 2017, in particular, is a small class, but has a rating that is Top-25 nationally.

Les has only coached us to 2 natty games and I won't mention 1-9-12. We haven't even sniffed Atlanta since.

They had their worst rushing performance in forever last year and the only thing that changed is that Clement should be healthy and run behind a better OL.

Harris gets the offense moving much better than Jennings and now that he and his WRs are a year older and wiser,
Well, a couple other things have changed:
(1) 2015 was Dare Ogunbowale's first full-season as a RB. He converted from DB. He is now a "year older and wiser" (that's the terminology you used in the latter-part of your post to describe LSU's receivers, right?).
(2) 2015 was Taiwan Deal's first-season as a collegiate RB. He is now a "year older and wiser."
(3) Corey Clement is healthy and so is the OL. They are now a "year older and wiser."

Yeah only coached us to 2 national championship games when we only have 4 in our history. But hey let's assume a head coach with a 29-22 record is better than that.

You contradict yourself. Wont Wisconsin be getting a new DC? Or do you have a clone of Aranda stashed somewhere. And you don't see that as an issue for your defense. It you do for LSU?
No doubt Wisconsin will be in transition mode, too, but isn't LSU going from a 4-3 to 3-4? Albeit LSU has more "talent," but one could posit that a scheme switch is a more difficult transition than Wisconsin switching up verbiage and allowing its defensive backs to play "more aggressive" than they did under Dave Aranda.
ETA (nothing to do with the above post I quoted): after reading all eight pages of this thread, I've decided that it sucks and I think I'm done with it. Some LSU fans know next to nothing about Wisconsin and PIPEKING is ignorant of anything LSU.
I've said it a number of times, but I do think LSU wins this game.

I'd really love it if the two schools would find a way to do a Home and Home in the near future. Probably wont ever happen, but it be nice to have two of the greatest fan bases host each other.
Totally agree with this. Camp Randall is an easy top 5 bucket list venue in my opinion. I had no desire to go to Green Bay for this game. Camp Randall wouldve been an easy choice though.

Gordon is arguably the best college RB in recent memory.
He wears P&G with the number 7 on Saturdays. The only debate is with #28 in red and white.

In the Rant... Anything over 3 or 4 pages is definitely descended into Junk..
I am looking forward to a competitive match and have enjoyed your posts...

LSU fans have this weird, tashy obsession with drinking. I'm all for having a good time and being proud of hospitality, which can certainly include drinking, but a lot of our fans really go overboard. I hope for their sake that it's mainly young college aged kids acting this way.

Lambeau Field and the scene around it for a big game is second to none. It'll be an experience. (Though, on a strictly collegiate level, Madtown is awesome).

The question though, will we just go I-form 2 tight every single play, or will we attempt to be creative? That and that alone is what is holding LSU back. They say things have changed, but I'm not holding my breath.
I swear, guys like you must not watch the games. You must get all your data from tigerdroppings.
LSU runs out of myriad formations. I bet they don't run "I form with two TEs" more than 12% of the plays.

Rashard Lawrence and Ed Alexander will not play like freshman
I think you're half right. Rashard Lawrence was SEC ready his last year of high school. I expect him to be a very productive DE this year.
Alexander did not look SEC ready to me. He looks like a guy with big upside who will need at least one year to be ready for the SEC wars.
I hope I'm wrong about Alexander for this year, but I doubt it.

We didn't have a developed Fournette in 2014; he has become one of the best running backs of the past decade (some would say all time). Harris year 2>than Jennings year 1. Our wide receivers are a lot better. Clement is no Gordon. Our defensive line will be much better than 2014. Our secondary will be faster and better. This will get ugly for whiskey by the 4th quarter.

Well stated. LSU has much more talent than Wisconsin but Les Miles is the great equalizer.
You guys are fools. Les Miles is one of the most successful coaches in America, and he is THE most successful coach in LSU history.
With Les, Cam, and Aranda on the sidelines we will not be outcoached. We will win this one comfortably, although I doubt it is a blowout because Wisconsin is a respectable program.
