You're right. Sloppy recruiting. But you're wrong when you say we'll be okay. LF probably will not master his assignments until late next season. Hill, Hilliard and Blue will likely all be gone. We'll have TM holding down the spot while LF learns and Boo heals. Probably LF will play a lot, but I bet our QB won't be happy about it.

Do you have a bet with someone about starting negative threads?

what are you basing this on? RB assignments are not the same as DB, OL, DL assignments etc. It is the easist postion for first year players to do extremely well whether going for HS to college or college to the pros. now that said, it is possible he could not pan out or get hurt, but I see no reason to assume he won't master his assignments.

Lsu will take three RB's this year IMO
Fournette, Boo and an insurance guy.
I think if boo wouldn't have gotten hurt we woul have only taken two. We have RB's locked in all the way to 2017. By the way, the 2017 guy that's committed is already the #1 player of the class. So by the time fournette leaves, we'll have another top RB in the nation... If Moses continues to do what he's doing of course.

I have to think LF is a silent commit, cause I just don't see Miles taking that kind of risk. Even if that's the case though, one blown out knee and LSU is fricked.
I don't see why everyone is so sure that Hilliard is gone though. It's not like he's a lock to get paid, and even if LF is the #1 guy next year, he'd still see a decent number of carries and have the chance to up his stock.

This is a typical analogy for the doom and gloom crowd. Too bad no one has gotten anywhere near a cliff, let alone jumped off one yet. Sorry all the ducks aren't ina row for you worry warts to see yet. If LSU gets to NSD 2014 and doesn't sign any RB's, then you can talk about jumping off cliffs without a paracute.

Moustache- This reminds me of not signing a QB between RP & JL. Some of these same people were probably among the stupid that were blaming RP for not having a QB in 2008. It was his fault because he didn’t do the correct things to stay on the team. It had nothing to do with the coaches not signing a QB.

If LF doesn't commit to LSU this is a bad deal. He is important to the recruiting class.

Wehre did I say sky was falling? Simply stating that not taking a RB for 2 years in a row is a mistake and an unnecessary risk
We'll have Magee and Brazil coming back. We'll get Fournette and Palelei for next year, that's four already. Add in Upchurch who is a hybrid WR/RB/TE and you have another RB. We'll be five deep next year. Then in 2015 we already have Brossette who is the #3 composite RB in the nation and will get Guice who is the #6 composite RB. They are also looking at David Ducre and Jordan Scarlett who is the #5 composite RB.
