La'el is gone. I don't see Hawkins leaving but Vadal is up in the air.

Lets assume that Hawkins and Vadal do end up staying, what does our starting OL look like for game 1?

LT - Hawkins JR
LG - Vadal SR
C - Dodd SO
RG - Pocic JR
RT - Malone SO

I would prefer Pocic at center but I think some balance on the right side is needed so that's why I have Dodd at center and Pocic at RG.

Cameron mentioned that Clapp and Brumfield are coming along nicely and Evan Washington is looking for a 6th year of eligibility. We also have a 5 star OL commit, Maea Teuhema, who could also compete for playing time at that RG position.

Thoughts?

I don't see why Pocic doesn't take one of the T spots. He seems to have the perfect build for it

Yeah, he is a good one. Im hoping that he can find his spot in 2015 and stay with it throughout the year.

Why would Hawkins go pro? That would be dumber than Trev Faulk

btw. cameroon was asked about the OL in QB's club speech and Clapp and Brumfiled were two that were mentioned first so dont be surprised if more experienced players get passed by these two redshirt freshman.

I actually like Pocic at guard better than center. In this scenario with both starters coming back I can see him at RT as well. I like having Teuhama on the team and hopefully he can become a 3 year starter, but if he starts next year as a true freshman it doesn't say much for Malone, Boutte, Dodd, and Demond unless he is a future first rounder and hopefully he is. I think Brumfield and Clapp can contribute as well.

I like this

LT Hawkins
LG Teuhema
C Clapp
RG Brumfield
RT Pocic

Either that or Brumfield LG and Teuhema RG.

I really do think Vadal comes back. He was one the people who helped sway La'el Collins to come back for his senior year. Hawkins might leave regardless of draft rating, but Vadal has said before that he would like to play RT again.

I think it will either be Broomfield or Teuhema at guard.

Teuhuma is a road leveler, just a big heavy guy.

So he can get paid?
Because he needs to get paid?

Why did Trai go pro? Wasnt that dumber than Trev as well?

Umm did you forget about Boutte? He has played in 13 games this year and played in 8 games as a freshman. He's ahead of most of the guys you mentioned and probably our best 2nd year OLman along with Pocic. He's gonna be a really good player for us and will be starting next year.

And I'm high on Brumfield and think he's gonna be a good OL for us... But he was 1 of the few freshman to not get in any game at all.

I don't get Hawkins. He is the heir apparent at LT. He is not on anyone's draft board.

Cbssports.com does not even rate him. Detillier has him in the middle rounds if he declares.

I'm a student and have an inside source with the team. I'll leave it at that and take it for what you want
