We don't want to discuss those opponents though I guess. Not like you're playing great teams in those openers. Especially when hosting as a top 16 or top 8 seed.

Florida State and Mississippi State are playing an elimination game as you typed this. Florida St is the #7 national seed and playing at home.
The 3 and 4 seeds in the bracket will play in the winners game later today.

I never said it wasn't impressive. I just don't get why we need to "brag" about it. I get that some teams host and lose like FSU and NC State.
It's just old how LSU will dig for stuff to brag about. Their QBs in the NFL tweet is a prime example.
For the record, I'm a huge LSU baseball fan and have had season tickets for 25 years. LSU is better than throwing out stats like that. Let teams who don't have 6 national titles brag about regional opening round wins.

What you don't get is this record is not for THE HOME winning streak in regionals. This is the longest streak in NCAA tournament history, period. Road games and home games are both included.
How many times do you think LSU has been a top 8 or 16 seed and went on the road?
Last night they were a 2 seed at probably the furthest destination besides the state of Washington they could play. They were a 2 seed and beat the 3 seed.
