I live in Arizona and am thinking about heading up to the game just to tailgate and watch the game with some fellow LSU fans.

Any info on where LSU fans are staying and where tailgating will be near the stadium?

I hear the area around it is pretty shady, wanted to see if anyone has been and can point me in the right direction

Pretty sure the rose bowl is in a nice area and the L.A. Coliseum is near the ghetto.

Rose Bowl isn't in a shady area at all. There is plenty of good lodging in Pasadena not far from the Rose Bowl. It really all just depends on what you're looking to do in SoCal as to where the best place to stay is.

The team and the Traveling Tigers are staying at the JW Marriott L.A. Live. I will be there.

Ok. Glad I asked, the person that told me that must have gotten the Stadium’s mixed up.

It’s a no brainer trip for me as it’s only 6 hours away.

I will look at the JW.

Wow. I was today years old when I learned the Coliseum and Rose Bowl were different stadiums. I thought they were just different names

I’ve stayed at the Courtyard on S Fair Oaks and it’s nice. There’s a Residence Inn in the next block north. Both are walking distance from the Rose Bowl.

No it’s right off the 210 and like others have said, Pasadena is the closest place and has a nice downtown, although it can be pricey.

Pasadena is great. My company is based in LA and i have come to call it a second home.

Look at Glendale. Its just west of Pasadena and very centrally located off major freeways.

Many attractions semi close(traffic pending)

Dodger Stadium
Hollywood Bowl(look and see who is playing, incredible music venue)
Griffith Park
Hollywood Sign(Highly recommend this hike)
Brentwood(UCLA Campus)
Burbank(Studio Tours)
Universal Studios
