I never said JJ wasnt effective in any way. He creates some problems for defenses, no doubt, but until he proves he can beat you with his arm consistantly, teams will stack the line with him in the game.

The way hes playing now, if im the opposing DC, im run blitzing to get JJ in 3rd and long, to force him to pass the ball. I like my odds there becuase JJ is mistake prone in passing situations and theres a decent chance one of my guys could catch it.

Some teams wont be able to defend JJ and our running game. Some will.

So what you are saying, in effect, is that Mr. Jefferson presents little challenge in the way of defensive scheming inasmuch as he has a limited playbook?

It's called running play action on the goal line. Alot of teams do it. You should probably look it up...

It's working to an extent. In general, in most situations, JL is going to be the better option at quarterback. I can see how on the goal line and in a "protect the lead were're going to be running the football" kind of offense JJ is the better option. All in all, JL needs to play most of the snaps. It's pretty obvious at this point. I mean 29 points on JL drives. 3 on JJ drives. If that's not telling I do not know what is

its not like JJ is good at protecting the football...Put shep and ware in there to run the zone read...they are a thousand times better at it then JJ is.....leave JJ on the bench

I like that JJ gets the ball in short yardage.
I dont want to see JL get a concussion.

If for some reason JJ physically cant play, I wont miss him.

If JL cant physically play, vs Bama, Au or Ark, we will lose that game.

I would like to see Barrett Bailey get ALL the snaps in the McNeese game, once there is a 3 TD lead.

Honestly I think that having JJ in the game helps JL. Maybe it takes some of the pressure off him? I'm not sure.

Myth. JL wants the fricking ball. Les just has to have the "want" to let him have it.

This o can turn into a UF 06 team. Lee throwing it and jj running on short yardage and in the redzone.

Stop trying to bash a player that has helped us win. You were probably saying the same shite about lee in 08

The problem is neither of our qbs are consistant. Hence the 2 qb system. But still this shouldn't be a problem if crowton would call the rt plays for the personnell we have.

Jj is still our best bet if they continue to run the option or qb runs. Shep would just get crushed like he did on a few plays against uf.

Ummmm, in case you haven't noticed, Lee has been VERY consistent.

No one is saying JJ shouldn't be the "running" QB. He just shouldn't be the QB from 10yd line to 10yd line.

You ever play a sport. Lee is ready dammit. What Les has him doing is like sitting on the bench and being asked to come in and shoot free throws to win the game. THAT is pressure!

It's much easier when you are in the flow of the game and not just getting subbed in in obvious throwing situations.

Lee is the best qb LSU has and should be the started the same way the McElroy stars for Bama. And when it is time to run it with the qb, it should be Shep, NO DOUBT!

Lee is a better passer, and SHep is a better runner.

jefferson is actually a legitimate threat to run, and he's been getting better every week.

that play where jefferson sprinted out to the right with a lead blocker in front of him and read the DB to run/toss to randle.. was beautiful. i think that's where we're going to use him, and i bet he gets a trick play fairly soon

Na, never in my life have I competed in anything other than Dungeons and Dragons; pegged me...

I agreed with the person I quoted, with respect to what Miles train of thought is regarding the whole situation.

nobody denies this

Agreed, but until he doesnt perform really well in the exact situation hes been in the last 2 weeks, Miles will continue to use the rotation as is.

Based on performance on the field, this is unquestionable. What is it that seems to compel LM to play Mr. Jefferson at all. One wonders if it has more to do with PC attention to "feelings" rather than player performance.
