Think of how many snaps out of the gun LSU had this year and then try to recall any errant ones... maybe there were one or two but I can’t really recall anything that stands out.

One of the smartest and most cognizant linemen we’ve had.

When Turner was in for garbage time, the slow snaps threw off the timing and it hurt Brennan.

I noticed that too, Walrus.

He’s still way too light for SEC ball - my money is on Hines at center next year.

Mannn I selfishly wanted Cush to come back - but he got his degree and a natty and I would do the same.

Turner is not, and I never see him becoming, an SEC OL. I still scratch my head why they offered him in the first place, his film did not stand out at all. He will never be big enough to handle SEC power. I’d say he’s 265 now so he would have to put 30 pounds of muscle just to not get run over by SEC DTs which is not easy to do in good weight. His snaps to Brennan were awful. You would never know he was the starting center at IMG for 2 years. His value might be like Dillon Gordon as a pure blocking TE / 6th lineman but that is am unnecessary position in this offense. I expect Hines to start and Marlon Martinez to be his immediate backup next year.

I think Hines start, but that Xavier Hill will be the back up.

And to answer the OP's question, the only bad snaps Cush had were against Auburn when he was trying to block Derrick Brown 1-on-1.

Plus, he's rated as the top, or one of top 2 centers coming out, depending on where you look. It was a good move for him to leave this year, although I selfishly wanted him back too.

I never even thought about the snaps this year, which is pretty awesome now that I do think about it.

What a great story, so happy for him! Especially considering how his recruiting process went (So low key and last minute).

He did. That whole unit stepped up HUGE this year. I hope Deculus helps the younger boys create a unit just as good next year!
