UALR is playing with zero expectations. They know that, and are just having fun. If they lose, so what. They weren't expected to be here anyway.

LSU, on the other hand, is feeling the weight of 10k in the stands groaning with every SO, walk, or other bad play.

He is bent so far back, and then he has to gather himself back up right, establish the pitch he sees, and try to make contact. It’s a completely unnecessary thing to add to an at bat. And not working. It’s ridiculous we have not figured this out. Not to mention braswell swinging for the moon. That has been all season.

Stanfield needs to sit, too. I don't see how his average is over .300 because he is terrible at the plate. Anybody can play CF. Find someone with a bat.

Good news is he should come back next year.

Is that good news though?

Bear during this slump might be the worst hitter I've ever seen

It's sad and humiliating for him.

Walking Curiel to get to him (twice). Laughing at him. Watching him flail away at any close pitch.

It's all very sad.

I say let him bat first. If LSU is going to be successful Bear is going to need to turn this thing around. He’s one of the few dogs on this team and he needs to get out there and take the game

Watching him take a cookie right down skip bertman drive is the worst.

You just know 2 weak swings at balls are coming next.

Jones needs to take a page out of Curiel's playbook. Hit for contact

Ben describes well what makes Curiel swing so effective; bat path flat in the zone for a very long time and hits outside pitches opposite field.

Easier said than done with Bear's high uppercut swing.

The guy leading the team in SEC hitting is the issue.

Jones needs to be moved back in the line up 7
He's definitely in his head right now.

CJJ need to adjust the line up he is killing DC and Dickinson

Looks like he has the same swing and is just hoping he makes contact,

What the hell are you talking about?
Clearly sarcastic, but you have no sensible argument going.

Let’s face it, Bear is out there dealing with dopamine neurotransmitters that won’t let him square up hits at this point.

Jones returned to LSU to work on being more of a contact hitter so he could get drafted higher this year. I don’t think it worked out like he hoped it would.

What’s odd is he did this for 20-30 games. Shortened his swing, was selective and walked, went with the pitch, choked up slightly with two strikers. And he wax hitting .385 with RBI’s and then…. He quit and reverted back to last year.
WTF?

Jones can’t hit anything but a but a fast ball down the middle. He will never see this pitch tonight.

Yep. Coach should make him watch it on repeat today.
i dont think that would help. He’ll just swing out of his shoes more.

Only coach should be telling Bear is choke up on the bat
