Like it or not, the call was correct (by the letter of the law)

We can debate if the calls are equally enforced (they aren’t), or if others have gotten away with similar hits (they have), but by the way the rule is written White’s hit was indeed “targeting”. Personally, I think this demonstrates the rule needs to be re-written to where ejection (and potentially missing part of the next game) only occurs for intentional acts of malice.

I realize he “led with his hands” but he did make forcible contact with the head and neck area (see image below). Time to move on.

We need our staff to focus on gameplanning to beat the Gumps, and do our part as fans to create the most hostile environment the Hawaiian midget has ever experienced.

He shouldn’t be suspended for the next game. Take that rule out

I’ve still not seen conclusive evidence their helmets touched. White was clearly pulling up after the shove

Hahahaha so when you LEAD WITH HANDS TO CHEST that’s targeting??? Wow I didn’t know that. Now to be fair, if you wanna say helmets hit fine. I’ll give you the 15 yards. That’s VERY DIFFERENT FROM TARGETING! Do me a favor, learn the rules and get back to me

In your blurry arse still shot, it appears to me that White's helmet is in Fitz's chest. Is it targeting because Fitzgerald folded like a lawn chair and his face masked might have touched White's helmet?

100% agree with everything you wrote. Especially that the league should remove the suspension for the second half/first half of next game. Also, it’s just crazy that the Bama LB was not flagged for that hit against Tennessee. Saban has been using late hits on delayed blitzes his entire career.

The rule says to target. He didn’t target the head.

A big BS to that. Read the rule.
"No player shall target and make forcible contact against an opponent with the crown (top) of his helmet."

The "crown" !!!! Didn't happen. Frick bama

If that's targeting, then every college in America would run out of players by the third game.

Stop all this still photo, splitting hairs, asinine crap. If an nfl ready linebacker who weighs 280lbs hits you full speed, if there is neck and head contact with the crown of the helmet, there will be no doubt as to what just happened. It would be like a Barbie doll getting hit in the head from a Brandon Larson 1997 baseball bat.

Even their qb, when pushed by the refs to get off the field and take a concussion protocol, he responds with what the heck I didn’t have a head hit?

The Zapruder film is clearer than your blurry image. And Jacob Hester said last night that was absolutely not targeting.
