You know..."When the legend becomes fact...print the legend" Both Les and Mel Kiper Jr have refered to Tiger Stadium as Death Valley instead
of Deaf Valley. I guess Death Valley it is!

I've always known it to be Death Valley.

ETA: I've always thought of the PMAC as the Deaf Dome.

I've never called it anything but Tiger Stadium. Death Valley makes more sense at Clemson.

I think you're thinking of the deaf dome...

There was a big stir when the took down the sign in the stadium that said...

quote:

WELCOME TO DEATH VALLEY

So welcome to LSU, where the football is so good the earth moves, where the tailgate chow is so good the Food Network should own broadcast rights, and where the entire atmosphere is so special that people from the other side of the world would rather spend their days listening to a tiger's roar in Death Valley than go home to the peace and comfort of the Shire.

Because it is Death Valley. Deaf valley was mis information started by clemson about LSU so they could claim the title. Called death valley because other teams title hopes come to death valley to die. As far back as the fifties and the bennies.

The Valley part came from how steep the stadium was do to it was also dorms. Creating the valley between the mountain of fans. Clemson is pretty flat and has no history on why the started calling their stadium by the same title. Louisiana are fanatic about being original, First tigers is SEC arburn was the war eagles going back to civil war. Tiger on helmet comes from the Washington artillery based in new orleans still active at Jackson barracks.

It always has been "Death Valley" A few years back a few idiots though it would be cool to say "deaf valley" Next time you think of something this "cool" just get in a tub of hot water and open your wrists.

bullshite. I don't care what google says. It always has been Death Valley. It was before Clemson started calling their stadium the same thing. Clemson has been envious of LSU since they lost the 59 Sugar Bowl to the national champion LSU Tigers.
