McNeese won championships years ago and that's what people remember. But their head coach, Viator, left for ULM and they suck now. Hurricane Laura basically destroyed the program, and they've been limping along ever since.
McNeese is objectively bad, even in D1. They got beat by the West Florida Argonauts last weekend 42-36. West Florida is DII... They were last years D2 champions, but still...
