Coach Miles's poorly-coached football teams will no longer be tolerated.
The new head coach will understand that ANY poorly-managed aspect of the program will not be tolerated.
The name of the new coach is not as important as his understanding of the following: You will strive for perfection in every aspect of the program. In the process of chasing perfection, you'll attain Excellence. Excellence is expected. In every aspect of the program, Excellence is expected daily, not occasionally.

Agree. Herman is the next GREAT Coach - but that certainly doesn't mean he becomes great at LSU. But somewhere, for sure.

That's where I am. I would say Chip Kelly is also a homerun and Mullen is also acceptable.

The more I read about him the more I'd have to agree. People seem to forget that many LSU fans wanted to get rid of Jimbo when he was at LSU. Herman implemented his system at Houston within a year. Imagine what he could do with LF and our WR's within a year. He knows that a team can't win a championship without a solid defense...or at least that's what I've seen quoted.
I believe that Florida may have hit a HR with Mac. Who thought that when he was announced? I'm less concerned about the "public opinion" HR. I'll take a validated football genius on one side of the ball with proven leadership qualities.
