This thread is like a twilight zone thread with these replies about about how "good" he is. He has been straight hot garbage every outing this year since the experiment started with him being a "starter".

He should "only" pitch when we losing(by alot) to eat up innings.

Cooper has yielded a .300+ batting average against in back to back years. Sure he caught lightening in a bottle as some pitchers do on occasion, but overall he has been way too hittable. It’s to a point where any good outing is flukey.

Yeah Guidry was so good last night.?? Guidry should be scaring you. If we win in the CWS, Cooper will end up being that guy who gets us through key innings and is a low key MVP if we win it all.

I think the smaller strike zone due the umps concern about Trackman, has hurt a number of breaking ball and location pitchers. Cooper is one of them. Last year more of his close pitches were called strikes. This strike zone has been a confidence kills for a number of college pitchers this year.

Needs to lose a good deal of weight. Unreal they let a pitch get near 300lb. Just taking 20 30 lbs off would get his positioning better and needed speed.

Guidry, Dutton and Herring are better

The posters on here that think we can make it through the post season on Guidry and Herring alone are comical.

Jay will continue to work guys like Money and Cooper that the Rant says we should give up on. We will need them for the post season or we won’t make it far.

Post his stats in 2022 from mid-April on especially with inheriting runners on base with <2 outs.

Again, confirmed that Riley Cooper is not good at baseball.
