JT, judging by the discussions on the Rant over the years, I'd say that you'd be judged a Negatiger, because you refer to his stupid coaching moves, which the Positigers ignore.

The Positigers also ignore anything and everything negative about Les Miles's coaching.

I agree that Coach Miles must accept some blame for the below average offense. His coaching background is on Offense. Coach Miles must also accept blame for the often disorganized and confused teamplay that Tiger fans often see.

Coach Miles MUST improve the Offense. He MUST improve the consistency, discipline and efficiency of the team in all phases of the game. Until Coach Miles does this, I'll remain his critic and dubbed a NegaTiger along with you.

You are a Negatiger.

Embrace it and get used to it, because if your are expecting anything different in the coming years, you will be very disappointed. Get ready for more of the same.

Les is what he is and he isn't going to change. I am curious to learn the terms of the new agreement between he and LSU.

According to Positiger dogma, seems to be anyone who criticizes leadership or performance ... does this include critics of Crowton?

Does not compute.

Not only is he a top 5 recruiter, but he also wins. What's not to like??

I've been called both during the season... it confuses me... I need a button so I can wear it and know where I stand

Based on this post alone or the 1000 of yours about Miles before it?

I don't think he deserves more than, say, 2 seasons from here to prove he deserves the spot.

What exactly does he need to do quantitatively in the next 2 years that he hasn't in the previous 6?

Negatiger.

Definitely - and probably a very young one, too.

It's business ... LSU should expect $ return on investment, get to one of the BCS bowl games & respective payout.

You play to win the game ! Les Miles 62-17. The offense has been suspect the past three years. However, it has been enough to send LSU to three bowl games and victory in two of three games.

LSU has won 28 games the past three years with below average QB's. That is over 9 wins per season. Miles took the moral high ground and kicked Perrioux off the team...great move !! We don't need cancers here at LSU. LSU loses the West to two teams that are later crowned National Champions. If LSU plays in the Mountain West with that talent, we go undefeated.

I am hopeful that coach Miles will re-evaluate the offensive co-ordinator and make improvements. Top recruiting classes continue. Can't wait till September 2011. Think this might be the year for another NC run.

Which happens in all bowl games. The winning team gets a percentage and the conference shares the remaining percentage.

No. According to Positiger dogma, it is ok to show negativity towards Gary Crowton and Trent Johnson. They are approved for criticism. All others are off limits.

Positiger dogma also requires a negative outlook regarding potential future coaches at LSU. You see to be "positive" about LSU, you need to think that very few of the elite coaches would actually want to coach at LSU and none could do any better than Les Miles.

You are considered "negative" if you think that there are elite coaches who are salivating over this job and the success that they could have here. If you think that any of these people would do better at LSU than Les has done, than you are most certainly a Negatiger.

I grew up in Baton Rouge during the McClendon era. he lived in our neighborhood. Yes, some context is in order. All of these coaches were/are at LSU for at least 5 years.

Ranking as to Wins
1 Charlie McClendon 137
2 Bernie Moore 128
3 Les Miles 61
4 Nick Saban 48

Ranking as to Win % (at least 5 years @ LSU)
1 Miles 0.78205
2 Saban 0.75000
3 McClendon 0.69212
4 Moore 0.67187

I'm not making any statements about Cholly Mac because I don't know enough, but I at least do know that schedules weren't littered with creampuff games back then.

That would actually be a start for the Positigers: to stop spouting generic win/loss %'s for Miles and instead focus on the games that actually matter. Go look at LSU's schedule in 1987 and compare that to now. No creampuffs AND LESS games.

Yesterday I read several threads from "POSITIGERS" blaming the "negative" fan base for MILES leaving. So what's the excuse for him staying?

Well, ya see Jersey... LSU was 11-2 this season. Don't you think getting rid of a coach with an 11-2 record is a bit strange?

LSU has increased its win total the past two seasons. I think he deserves the spot now. What would he have to do in order to prove to you that he deserves to be the head coach at LSU?

Is it more "how" we win rather than just simply winning for you? Are you looking for a particular style?

I totally agree. LSU's schedule was significantly tougher then. The added games set up the lessening of the toughness of the schedule.

We will see how LSU does next year with the first game (I think first?) against Oregon. We are both losing players, but they should be harder than the directional schools in La.
