Bama fan?? No I despise Bama. I'm just not a retarded fan who thinks that I know more about football than the coaches. Some of yall are the type of ppl who go to the doctor and say he or she is wrong and u know the diagnosis better than the doc. Idiots!!!

running the option. he's just horrible at it and makes the wrong decision every time

Any explanation of how that can be?? I agree that his option decision making is bad - and I am no QB expert.

It seems to me that this is more a matter of 'football sense' than anything else. Sure, you can coach a few definite reads to make, but it seems to me that the 'feel' of the situation should be the first priority. He just seems to have no feel for what is going to happen when he pitches/keeps the ball.

And the spacing of the two players seems off. Several times the pitch was more like a handoff than an option pitch - one man could cover both.

And why do we generally run the option to the short side? I would think the wide side would be harder to cover.

And why use Scott as the pitch man instead of Williams? or Holiday? or "????

Our options seems amateurish at best. embarassing actually.

Incredible!! Dump JJ? Bring in Lee? Protectng JJ's psyche? Horrible? You're talking about a top-5 team, undefeated in the toughest conference in college football.

You guys need to get a life. You want to know the worst thing about this team - look in the mirror! Every Les Miles team - every team, I mean evey team - lives, wins, loses, excites or disappoints but always with an unmatched strenth of character and courage. Talent comes and goes, great plays are missed or made. Sometime pretty, sometimes ugly. But the backbone is always there.

Let's give the team - coaches and players - a little credit. No let's give them a lot of credit.

I think Crowton needs to start putting more "west coast offense" style plays: 3 step drop and pass.

4 or 5 yards per pass completions will boost his confidence, but it will also keep him from getting sacked.

I can't help but remember the LSU-Tennessee game in 2005 (I think it was), when UT had Erik Ainge and that Clausen brother. In the second half, they picked apart our blitzing defense with short, quick passes.

The woodworks. Seriously, some of those people that call in sound like the biggest idiots. They probably don't even know where LSU is located.

Where are the plays after 2:53?

didnt your momma tell you never to ask a question that you didnt really want to hear the answer to? Yes, it does appear he quit playing after the 2:53 mark. Especially in the last minute when he said he didnt want the ball

I'm a positiger, but JJ had a horrible game. We still have a situation where the QB position is a liability for us.

Not saying JJ needs to be benched, but we are 5-0 for several reasons. QB play is way down the list.

Although Jefferson has mental lapses at times, it is obvious to me that the guy is a competitor and is comfortable on the field...he looks to be making progress every week...keep it up big dog!

I dont believe anyone wants to bench him, but most teams allow their #2 to get several series in case they are forced into the #1 slot. Seems odd that LSU is willing to risking throwing JL out there again this year, when the time comes.

It would be nice to see a QB that can throw down the field, get some time with these weapons

Nah, Tebow won the heisman that year with 4 losses. How bout J. Lee's 6 game stats last year. That is relevant to the conversation.

He was 18-27-1 212yds with 1int. I'm sure that benching a QB that is 6-1 and the 6 wins are in a row would be the best thing for the team. I mean Jarrett Lee went 28-14-3 for 287yds with only 3ints (2 for 6)against UG. and went 4-4 in his last/only starts. But he did bring us back against TROY.
