If LSU loses to a Miles coached Old Miss team, you'll know we have bottomed out. GoodOleLess and Shepherd Smith. Killer combo.

an economics degree from one of the most prestigious public universities in the country just screams ignorant.
Rick - we've gone through this before. Yes, having a college degree is to be respected, and usually is an indicator of some level of intelligence and motivation.
But, good lord, if you think everyone that graduated, especially from a good school like Michigan, should automatically be regarded as intelligent, then you're hopelessly naive.
Two real-life stories: I worked with an attorney who graduated with an engineering degree and a law degree, both from Harvard. The guy couldn't tie his own shoes. Really nice guy, but a bumbling moron, and he got canned pretty quickly, and he's been bouncing around employers for the last 20 years.
Similar story in the engineering world - I worked with a guy with a 4.0 from a top 10 engineering university. Also, nice guy, but just not very bright. The best engineer we had was a guy with a 2.5 from some small directional school in Missouri.
Moral of the story - a degree from a prestigious university is certainly a good thing and is to be respected for what it is, but it DOES NOT necessarily equate to intelligence (or whatever word you want to use) beyond the classroom. I've seen it many, many times.
