You have surpassed Geert as one of the biggest douchebags on this board and that is really saying something.

I'm disappointed that you couldn't come up with anything more original than douchebag. I guess you've probably got burned out on calling anyone that isn't a blind homer an idiot and moron too.
I'll be sure to try even harder to irratate you more in the future.

Getting rid of Miles at this point would knock Auburn out of the top spot in the "Dumbest moves in SEC history" category.

You honestly think Les Miles is a distant third coach to Turner Gill ? Big difference in being a homer and someone just being an idiot.

i'd put Tubbs at #3 behind Miles otherwise; i agree under this perception - Gill started out at a school in the tank (rock bottom), whereas Miles came into a very program with excellent talent. He struggled galantly with great success to eventually and luckily to reap the awards of BCS title in '07. Then he, made a very buddy like 'DiNardo' move and took his buddies over the tought of keepin the LSU program on TOP. L.M. does have the luxury and opportunity to be able to prove his real "NET WORTH' in the '09 season??? In part, he can be thankful the role of the dice, went his way at the end of the '07 season.

JMHO- Gill, will wind up at another BCS school soon and whoever gets him will reap great rewards and someone else's find, will have been the Tigers loss. Then again, you know what they say about 'hindsight being 20/20???

I respected but had a dislike for Tubbs for some of things he did in the past against LSU but if he could have been accepted by the LSU family, he would have had continued success. As a person and as far as what happened to him at auburn, i believe the school with 3 mascots made a bad move...

All things being speculation, with obivious past history from all!

Just so I'm clear here. 11 wins per year and finishing #5, #3, & #1 in the polls = struggling gallantly?

The original question was to rank who I would rather have going into next year.
Miles' is not a good coach.
I'll credit him for having the teams ready for their bowl games.
But week in and week out, LSU though clearly more talented than nearly everyone they've faced over the past few seasons have seldom looked well prepared.
The man is a terrible disciplinarian both on & off the field.
Continue to turn your head to just how lucky he's been and credit him for doing what any average coach could have done with the caliber of athlete that was here over the past three seasons.
The guy could have just as easily been 22-18 heading into this season as he was 34-6.
Exceptional upperclassman leadership and talent made the difference.
So you've used the Tigerdroppings cliche insults of douchebag and idiot. Let's go for the hat trick next time and use moron.

I get it, you will follow Les until the bitter end and anyone who thinks another coach is better is insane. I really don't know what Les has done to make you say 100% that he's better than Turner Gill.

Les - Took over the best team in the SEC and kept them at the top of the SEC.

Gill - Took over the worst program in D1 and has them as a conference champion.

I don't know why some of you get your panties in a wad about this. Can you not have a discussion without being a moron about it?

Miles (unless we look terrible next year, then I really think he gets axed)

Tubs (love his demeanor. Hated him at Auburn, but if he would bring that same attitude here, I wouldn't mind it so much)

Gill (great coach, a real up and comer, but not ready for SEC ball yet.)

You as well as everyone else knows that you do not post to create a "discussion". Your post are to let everyone know that you dont like Miles. Well we get it, let it go, he's not going anywhere.

I think putting Miles 3rd of these 3 is crazy. Miles is 3-1 against Tuberville, while both of these coaches have a bunch of experience coaching BCS teams.

Turner Gill may have turned an awful Buffalo team around, but just because you had ONE good year in an awful non-BCS conference doesn't mean you willautomatically have success everywhere. For example, ask Kragthorpe who saved dead-in-the-water Tulsa now struggling at Louisville.

and yet you fail miserably. Go figure.

Give me ONE valid reason why Les Miles is not the best choice to be the head coach at LSU next year.

2007 season:
If you have the talent to beat Florida and Auburn, you do not lose to Kentucky and at home to Ar-kansas.
2006 season:
Super talented team yet under achieved
2005 season:
Do I need to say anything about the Tennessee game?
