For a person to warrant a statue, I'd prefer for them to not been almost fired and THEN fired 4 games into the season.

Dietzel should get one first. Then there is the problem of Saban who shouldn’t get a statue on our campus. He did a lot of good for the program while here but has really hurt us at Bama.

Too soon for Miles.

We have an extra 5 million or so to spend on the statue.

I'll never understand the hate for Les. He was a great coach here. He won many games. Most games actually. Its like the same people that hated him being hired in the first place just refuse to let shite go. I had a lot of watching Les coached teams. He wasn't perfect but he did an awesome job most of the time.

Yes, i got frustrated with the offense and clock management but i can't look past his record and accomplishments.

Some of you sound like bitter old ladies

Has a fired coach ever gotten a statue? In college football history?

Woody Hayes and Bobby Bowden both have/will have statues, and they were both fired. And yes, I know Bowden “stepped down”, but he was asked to step down

The man doesnt deserve his name on a plaque at LSU, little alone a statue. You dont build a statue of a guy who could only get anther job at fricking kansas

Why do you think he doesn't deserve one? He had more 10+ wins season than any coach. Highest Win %. Class Act. He gave LSU arguably the best 10 years of football in LSU history.

Anonymous internet name calling guy always amuses me. I wonder if you would say that to CEO's face?

Put the equivalent of a very large baptismal (Is that a word?)out in front of Tiger Stadium.

Instead of water there would be actual football field turf growing.

Before entering the stadium on game day, Tiger fans and player would walk up to it and take a blade of grass and taste it.

It will already be blessed by Les or anointed, so approval by the fans and players is not required.

Better than touching a rock.

How is it calling name when it was true? He was in charge of a shrimp boat before he got into coaching. With as much he got to lose CEO not going to do anything.

Why do you want a statue of a moron who was fired for incompetence?

That would seem more appropriate standing in front of the state capital building.
