If this is true -- and I still have my doubts -- I have to think that Miles' decision to stop giving Lee significant playing time probably also had something to do with Lee's decision to stop going to classes. Seriously, how can you not get in a deep blue funk if you have a bad game against Bama, and then the coach decides that you can't play anymore. Which came first, the chicken or the egg?

No one has accused you of being in reality. You lied, slandered a player and Miles proved you wrong. Even he thinks you are full of shite.

My problem starts at the 5:20 mark on the audio at the Advocate's website. He's asked "What was the gameplan and where did it go wrong?" Listen to his answers and how they don't address the question. I'll paraphrase for anyone who doesn't want to or can't listen:

Oh, he never states what the gameplan was and the reporter is A-OK with that. I love modern "journalism."

1. Player mistakes
2. Special teams gave up a big run
3. Defense gave up important 3rd downs
4. It wasn't our day
5. Alabama's good.

I love how he absolutely took credit for that. Anywhere he HAD to give an answer he used the royal "we." He only said "I" in regards to a questionable decision once that I can count so far.

Your humble opinion is crap.

It was absolutely, totally and completely irrational in the moment, and finding someone who thinks it wasn't irrational is virtually impossible. Even folks who have little or no football knowledge could see that a change needed to be made. Trying to excuse his thought process by saying we can only see it was irrational with the benefit of 20/20 is ridiculous. Did you see the posts that were made DURING THE COURSE OF THE GAME? Everyone knew what needed to happen. He's either (a) stubborn, or (b) stupid. Take your pick.

He did say that with the benefit of hindsight he would have played Lee This gives Les a tiny bit of redemption.

No this means he is just now realizing what a terrible coaching job he did and while every other coach and fan in the world knew the right the to do- he did not during the game.

I think it is neither. The only way stubborn or stupid make sense is if you look ONLY at the Bama 2 game.

When you consider the handling of JL from the Bama 1 game forward even BEFORE Bama 2, no rational person can come to the conclusion that JL was sincerely a part of Miles' thinking.

Now, if the two QB system had CONTINUED after Bama 1 with JJ merely getting the bulk of the snaps AND, if JL would've actually PLAYED in the two blowouts, then we could look at Bama 2 and think, "what's the explanation for this?"

They've merely got us focused heavily on the Bama fiasco which masks the REAL questions.

Guys:

Do we really have to agree to disagree that Miles stopped giving Lee significant playing time after Bama 1? Seriously. It's objectively obvious he stopped playing Lee after Bama 1. That really isn't subject to discussion. Everyone knows that Lee didn't get significant playing time after Bama 1. The REASON Miles stopped playing Lee has been the subject of a lot of debate.

My comment is limited to the observation that if Choctaw is correct about Lee skipping class -- and I don't know that he is right about that and I am not saying one way or the other -- it seems obvious that Lee's mental outlook would be adversely affected when he learned he wasn't going to start against Western Kentucky, and then didn't see significant playing time from that point on.

If Lee was in a funk after Bama 1, and he could have been, then it stands to reason that funk would have gotten worse after Miles reduced/eliminated his playing time in favor of JJ. That's all I'm saying.

And this isn't based on any unique factual information, btw. It's just my OPINION.

Stop looking for excuses for Miles- he screwed up, did a terrible job coaching the BCS gamee- poor prep, game plan, in game coaching and continues to mishandle the explanation of what happened

No on else in the program gets paid 4 mil to make decisions except CLM> The buck stops with him

Please stop making excuses He coached 13 good games and then finished the season with one of his worst coaching games since at LSU
