A players coach is one thing but if the accusations are true about miles than all the sexual misconduct, drugs etc.. by players was definetly overlooked

His family didn’t do what he’s accused of. How can you not sympathize for them?
Their were hints in that report of Kathy being an enabler. Also, Les intentionally deceived us with his family man veneer, which is the main reason this is such a shock. This not a family that has struggled over dad and substance addiction, or suicide, or DUI with fatalities. They all were living their best life, so this is more Bernie Madoff territory for me. Les lived a lie, made bank, and now the walls are crumbling.
Hard to feel sorry for them. Just like the Madoff family.
Have no idea what Kathy did or did not know or if they have some sort of "arrangement". She doesn't seem the type to put up with an arrangement, but then again, Les seemed like a good old family man as far as his personal life.
I feel badly for his children. They didn't do anything to deserve going through this. Les let them down big time or so it seems. They'll be fine financially, but emotionally, this has to be difficult. They either believe nothing happened or feel betrayed. Either way, this public information is awful for them.
Les' career is over. He should quietly go into retirement and out of the limelight. Unless there are some magical retractions, he's done.

Miles' attorney gives some statements.

A few excerpts.
quote:
An attorney for former LSU head football coach Les Miles said Saturday that Miles has been unfairly maligned amid mounting allegations that he sexually harassed students at LSU.
quote:
But Peter Ginsberg, a New York-based attorney for Miles, released a statement Saturday jumping to his defense. He also said that Kansas had previously "been provided with significant information" about a 2013 sexual harassment investigation regarding Miles.
quote:
He claimed that an investigation from the law firm Taylor Porter in 2013 — one that Miles' attorneys and LSU agreed to bury from public sight until it was finally released this week — concluded that there were no grounds to discipline Miles. However, the investigation also found that at least two students accused Miles of sexual harassment, one of them reporting that Miles had kissed her twice. Miles denies kissing the student.
quote:
He said the decision to place Miles on administrative leave — which many have argued does not go far enough — is unfair. "To fail to recognize that a person’s career should not be compromised by unsubstantiated allegations hardly is consistent with the example an institution of higher learning should champion," Ginsberg wrote.

it's pretty much indirectly confirmed by now that Les and Kathy came to some sort of arrangement a long time ago
I remember thinking it was weird that Les had a condo a mile from his office and four miles from his house

If true then Jeff long and a lot of other higher ups at kansas are done.
Somehow Kansas keeps making worse and worse hires.

Could be. I'd seen an article yesterday indicating KU knew nothing of this. Today's article counters that and, if true, brings up a lot of questions.

I think we all know now why he ended up at Kansas and what took so long for him to find a job.
It was more due to schools not having confidence in a coach that ran an unimaginative offense at a time when LSU actually had the most players in the NFL.
