Les Miles Is Not Going Anywhere. This is Absurd.

Why do you think Miles is leaving? He will not be pushed out or bought out. He will not make changes. He will keep doing what he is doing and LSU will go 9-3 overall and pull in a top 5 class and that will be the end of it. Then, we will be excited about next year and we will go 10-3 overall and everyone will say that 10 wins is pretty good.
Then, Miles will retire in 5-6 years with a string of 8-10 win seasons, 170 or so wins overall, maybe a fluke win over Alabama, and he will be celebrated and that will be the end of it.
It is what it is. Why does anyone think differently?

Everyone needs to sit back down in their cubicle and chill out.

His near .500 record in the SEC since 2013 tends to disagree, so do people that control the money.

Because 60% of the fan base wants him gone, per the Times Picauyne.

Do you think Rabalais pulled that article out of his arse???
Do you think all the guys in the local media with connections to the program and the big money boosters are pulling this out of their asses?
If you think that Miles is not coaching for his job, then you're just being jaded at this point...

Because you say so? He's failed every year since 2011

I agree with OP, at least for now. Though I think if he tanks next year, he might go after that. Somebody tell me which LSU boosters have $17 million to spare for a buyout? Seems if we had billionaires like T-Boone Pickens or Phil Knight, I would've heard about it by now. Don't forget, while we're paying the $17 million buyout we will also have to be paying top dollar for new coach, probably 5 million+ for a big name, not to mention the staff. Money matters, this ain't fantasy football.

The buyout isn't the total upfront. Its over 5 years I believe. So, this statement make no sense knowing that the program is in the top 10 every year when it comes to Net income. Plus, there are a lot of people in baton rouge with tons of money looking for some tax write offs. Example would be a game day jersey going for over $100,000.

Disagree. We're talking millions of dollars. You'd have to name for me some LSU fans with that kind of cake to throw around. And, they'd have to really, really hate Les Miles. There is no benefit from donating money for tax right offs. You just get a portion back later, you still end up with less money. And don't forget, LSU is one of the few schools bound to give a percentage of profits to the school, and had to give an extra 3 million this year.
$10 million to academics.

The buy out for Leslie Miles is approximately 2 million per year over an 8 year period. Chump change in the big scheme of things.
