It shows that LSU could have had several more National championships had it had a competent coach during that era. All that top talent wasted.

I love Les and always will as a person, but he was exposed on 1/9/12 and should’ve been let go Dec 2015

Completely agree and never have argued anything else. But the people using a Kansas Loss as a reason to rehash the “Les Mikes is a fricking idiot” got issues. Les left a lot to be desired as a coach, no doubt, but dam let it go.
In my 35 years of following LSU football, there’s been 6...SIX...fricking 6
...seasons that were great. The first I can really remember was 88 and kicking USC’s arse in a bowl game. Then was “bring back the magic”. 2003 was the GOAT. Then 2007, 11 & 2019.
People would rather bitch that we shoulda had more on that list than just be happy that we aren’t in the 90s anymore

Then 2007, 11

uh, try again

07 was not 'great' - Only 2 loss champion in BCS history, and had to get help to even get in. Thats the very defintion of 'not great'

11 was the most embarrassing season for LSU in regards to potential. Who the eff pulls an undefeated starting QB 3/4ths way thru the season? Les Miles thats who. And exactly the reason hes getting his arse handed to him in Kansas. No one wants to play for him, knowing his history of shitty player management

I would, but it just seems to trigger weak and pathetic idiots like you so I find it enjoyable to watch your reactions unfold. It amuses me. Keep dancing, puppet.

Les should absolutely be respected,

Fifty million dollars only buys respect if you win.
He may be an OK guy, but respect for a dud of a coach?
He was Curley Hallman II, if starting with the same talent level as Curley.

Well, the game "passed Lesticles by" 10/12 years ago. There's a reason Kansas is the only school that wanted this clown. Good riddance.

The talent he squandered is mind blowing.

I’ll say it: There has never been a more incompetent offensive coach that Les Miles.

Oh yes there have been. Bum Phillips and Charlie McClendon come to mind. They are Les without the good offenses from circa 2007.

Les is a good man but I am glad he is gone! 3 plays off tackle then punt! No offense coach!!!

There’s been 4 legit awesome seasons in most of our life times. Les is responsible for 2. He’s gone. Lighten the frick up. Move on

Never! That MOF was horrible. I saw things that High school teams would not tolerate and he acted like it was no big deal. Piss poor representation for LSU.

I would also say he had a negative effect on LF7 physically.

Also, How many guys could play with the best of the best in the NFL but were not fully used or developed in college?

Russel Sheppard, OBJ, Landry, Chark, and so on, and so on.
